I have had the 14 Pro Max for a little over a week coming from a XR. I have not had any issues thus far and I am loving it

I totally agree with the camera issues. For example do to the change in the focal length I can't get clean photos of A4 size documents because it's in the limit between macro and main camera and because both cameras have higher aperture sizes documents are darker in auto mode. No issues with 13PM. Also when I take normal pictures it distorts a bit in the ages of the photos going out of focus for no reason. Again no issues with the 13PM

That's good if you need to do that. I've had some sporadic freezing with screen orientation and delayed scrolling but since I came from a 7 Plus, I don't regret it. Also regarding me upgrading, even if I just thought about doing it now I would not go for a 13 over a 14 as it would be a waste of investment.

Switched from iPhone 12 to IPhone 14 pro Max. I am experiencing only one of the issue out of all this. And it is camera indeed. The low light images does look quite over processed which wasnt the case with iPhone 12. Apart from this issue which is fixable via software update. iPhone 14 pro max is a worthwhile upgrade

Literally, just switched back to 13PM from 14PM, this morning. Occasional bug issues on 14, better feeling of more screen on 13 etc.

I had a lot of issues with the iPhone 14 pro , I resolved all issues including poor battery by simply connecting my iPhone to iTunes and deleting the iOS and reinstalling iOS then I set up the iPhone as new and the phone has been wonderful since. This was all done under thirty minutes. Sign in to iCloud and get back your photos, contacts and messages. Really surprised you haven’t done this yet…

Yup. I preferred pics on the 13 > 14 too. I personally don’t like the island and feel it’s worse visually than a notch that is at least all the way at the top of the screen instead of intruding down further like the island.

Coming from an xs max, i was tempted to go for the 14 pmx, but finally found a 13 pmx for a very good price, i love it, amazing battery, no bugs, very smooth experience.

I went from my Iphone 12 pro max to the 14 pro max a few weeks ago and I can confirm that I had more issues with it in the short time that I owned it then the entire time owning the 12 pro max. Most of the problems are with the camera. Its true the picture for me have taken at step in the wrong direction and just last night I tried to zoom in just a bit and my camera kept switching from one lens to the other nonstop I had to power the phone off then back on just crazy thinking how much this phone cost to have to deal with simple tasks

It’s scary that this transition has likely made myself and many others drop the notion that a newer Apple product is better. I was going to wait on my 13 PM till they launched USB-C. Now I may wait a generation or two more.

Used the 14 pro max for the month and went back to the 13 pro. Hated dynamic island the way it cut into more content. Apart from that it was pretty much the same phone. I really think the 13 pro and pro max are one of apples best iPhones to date

I upgraded from my 12 PM to 14PM . And yeah, there's some really annoying bugs. I never got the charging issue only once but because i was swimming in the pool with my 14PM recording underwater. But battery life for me is good 8-10hrs screen on time per day; and i charge it once per day. And not the screen issue either. For me, it was mainly contacts or imessages freezing when trying to search things. For me, I really am happy with the upgrade despite the bugs. No regrets for me

Do you have the always on display on. That may be a reason for your battery drain.

Glad I got my wife the 13pm. My initial decision was because of esim only. But after seeing the other issues. For sure it was the right move.

Still on the 12 pro max, don’t really think these small updates are worth the upgrade but to only have the latest and greatest. Maybe I’ll go 15 but then again that also depends on how much better of an upgrade it’ll be.

hmm... from my experience. The only issues have mainly been closed up camera focusing. I used to have some touch input issues, but this disappeared after some software updates. Other than that, haven't seen any of the other issues you've mentioned. I beleive the camera focusing got fixed with software too, but QR focusing issues still remains..

These issues you had did you have these on the max model or regular pro I have 14PM and I’ve luckily have had no displays issues at all and after going from the 13pro max they’re were a lot of small improvements that I did notice some also I never got the camera issue only issue I actually had was the signal going to sos that stopped after update

Some great points here, but … don’t think many people will have a ‘spare’ 13 pro max hanging around. Which means for now we’ll have the grin and bare it.

I sold my 13 pro and got the iPhone 13 mini. Last week bought the 14 pro. Just returned it and got another iPhone 13 mini. Prefer the size, them mini does all I need it to. Anyone else want a 15 mini pro? 😊

Great video, however in my case I’m staying with my 14PM, mainly because it has improvements with the 5G modem and the iPhone 14 series is the only series that’s able to access AT&T’s DoD spectrum since it’s not available for the 13PM and to me it’s a deal breaker since I’ll get much better 5G speeds😊

I dropped my 13 pro max at work and had to temporarily use my old 12 mini until my 14 pro came in and it definitely humbled me. I have no issues with the 14 pro because I had to use a 12 mini for a few weeks and it definitely makes me appreciate the 14 pro that much more 😂

Has anyone experienced any glitches with the 14 series? I’ve noticed sometimes that when you touch the side button, a rectangle will appear around the time clock and it won’t let you touch anything on the screen it’s like it will act up from time to time.

My issue is with System Data, and the fact an hard Reset is the only temporary solution, accumulating GBs nonstop.

Is the battery hold optimized charging? If not you got a dud replace it.

I have my 14 pro max since beginning on November maybe the problems are from the first batches on the new iPhones. I usually don’t get the phone at first launch I usually wait a month or so to get it. Don’t know if that makes a difference

I have my IPhone 14 pro max since a month and had no issues at all the only thing i can say is that when i put on the magsafe battery pac on my IPhone the battery gets warm but i never got a message that the phone is too warm i have the leather case mag safe on my phone when i charge it with the battery so maybe that is why it gets a little warm , so far so good but you had yours longer me its only a month , we shall see , thanks for the video

This is weird how people are having these dramatically different experiences. I’ve had my 14 Pro Max since launch day and it has been nothing but great to me. I also came from an iPhone 12, so the upgrade was bigger for me. Probably depends on what phone you’re coming from.

I played with the 14 at my local phone store. It was nothing to write home about.

Had a pretty good run with my 14 prop max hardware i think , only the odd software issue pop up now and again , the screen is great , nothing turning on or off on its own or weird lines thing happening , have had the odd freeze up of an app or two on occasion , and while could swipe out of the app back to the home screen , the app was just dead and could not be closed or do anything with it , and i had to restart the phone to get it fired up again , and it was ok after that , have struck that on a few occasions . The keyboard does do some funny buggers sometimes , on occasion im typing in a text box , and then for no apparent reason the whole couple of paragraphs of text will just scroll down out of view completely as if i have hit the enter button 10 times ................ so i scroll the text back up and start typing again , and its fine for a minute , and then does the same thing again ....... quite an annoying little bug . Oh , another little keyboard bug i have thought of , on occasion i start typing a new line , and weirdly every letter i type just types on exactly the same spot , have had this one happen quite a few times , and the only fix i found was to restart the phone and start all over again ( Cmon apple FFS ) but perhaps it has been fixed with an update , because it does not seem to have happened for a while ( touch wood ☺). As also an android owner for 11 years , i find these little bugs to be very very rare on any of my android phones of the last 6 years . Id say given the 12 pro max was my first ever apple device , i dont remember having nearly as many bugs as on my 14 pro max . Dont get me wrong i still the 14 pro max , but its not as refined of a user experience as i was hoping for .

I’m having problems with the text size. It doesn’t work at times. I went into a chat box where I could not write anything because the box was so big it extended way over the left hand side of the screen. Weird

I switched just a month ago I haven’t ran into any problems at all and as great as the 13 pm is the 14pm is just better overall especially the camera the battery life seems head to head the dynamic island and aod make it feel a lot newer than what it is

I switched from the iPhone SE 2020, to the iPhone 14 Pro. My experience on the 14 is better. And I have not run into any of the issues you mentioned in this video except for the focusing part with the cameras. Which isnt really an issue for me. Overall I love the 14 pro. My favorite part about it is the dynamic island. Also I want to mention, im not sure if the issues people have been having are a pro max thing or a 14 iphone thing in general. But i havent experienced really anything on the 14 pro.

Yup. I’m glad I avoided getting any new iPhone past the 13 pro max. Looking at this video I wouldn’t be surprised if Apple rushed the 14’s and 15’s out to the public and now some of the public are recognizing the issues of that. SMH. I will be sticking with my 13 pro max

3 months into my 14 pro, my camera focuses in and out too much when taking pictures, for instance when taking a pic of a mountain, the nearby trees get focused on vs the snow on the mountain…

I did this when the iPhone 12 was out. I experienced several bugs with iPhone 12 having bad touch response and not good battery life and overheating, as well as apps crashing. I went back a generation to the 11 pro and felt better in every way.

I have no MagSafe charger in my home. I have a car Mount that uses MagSafe in the air vent.. the A/C is at 70 which keeps it cool when I’m driving so no issues with the charging

I have the 12PM and been trying to get my brother’s 13PM for cheap. Unfortunately he gave it to our sister for Christmas. He’s the one who gave me the 12PM so I can’t complain

I've had my iPhone 14 Pro Max since launch the only real issue is the battery isn't as good as i would like. I came from an 8 Plus so obviously it's better but not as good as I thought. And I agree with the cameras on the 14 Pro Max.

I like my 12 pro max. I see no reason to change at this time. It works good always has cameras really good . I hope the 15 has a better camera. That’s why I buy the phone is mostly for the camera simpler and easier to use and I want it to be adorable against rain stuff like that because I would like to see a better camera I do use my phone in the elements a lot. I keep a case, I didn’t get water in it because I had it on my handlebars on my motorcycle in the rain but I blew it out and it works fine.

I upgraded from 6 plus so the 14 pro max is awesome in terms of upgrades to me. But the battery life seems to be short. It drains fast even after optimizing for longer battery life.

I had the 14 pro Max and it worked great I got tired of the esim I like to use Samsung and Apple I got tired of calling the carrier just to use a different phone so I went back to a 13 promax. Just as good as a 14 promax except for the dynamic always on display.

I have 14 pro max and no problems! You gonna learn what to turn off so you don’t have a lot of battery drains! It would last a day and a half! How long do you need it to last? Do you live in the woods?

I feel like Apple is sort of rushing things when it comes to releasing new iPhone yearly. It understandable as to why most companies including Apple themselves do this but it would be nice if they can slow down and at least see how their customers react and hear out their views and issues that may arise. The biggest issue is battery and it continuing to get worse update after update ( it can be different on your personal iPhone) but if Apple can at least hear out on these issues, at least they can come up with an improvement or otherwise a revised layout of the internal for the battery. I’m also having issues with AirPods Pro 2 displaying incorrect battery information on my iPhone 14 pro max and I’m sure other are too with their personal AirPods. It would be nice if apple can improve that but I would suggest an ability that allows user who have their apple devices linked to their Apple ID display battery info for all apple devices (it is something you can view from Find My but efforts are required plus half the time, it take a while to load). I’m sure everyone has different opinions on Apple’s position when it comes to bugs like these and the ones mentioned in this video but it would be nice if Apple can take a step back and resolve all this before introducing new features.

I don’t have any of those issues on the 14PM. Sounds like you have a defective unit.

My 14pro max has mic issues when I record a video and change to wide angle the environment sound goes like very lower and deeper, then when I change to 1x sounds it goes back to normal 😢

I’m @ 97% battery life on my iPhone 13 Pro Max from released day. 2 of my relatives have the 14s Pro Max and battery on their particular units just can’t keep up with my 13 PM unit. This past Christmas was when we noticed the big differences on that. 14 is not bad, but just doesn’t feel the part it “might” fool some as apple’s marketing stunt has that effect, but not really as many other experts have literally expressed similar feelings. Good that this video is out about this.👍

Glitches when airpods pro are connected and we try to play music at times. But never gliches if I use galaxy buds on iphone 14 pro max. And also had bad relfection when filming video of fireworks on new years day. Anyone had the same problem?

Agreed! I honestly believe that the 13 Pro Max is the best that ever came from Apple. It takes better photos and has a longer battery life and works without a glitch. Overall a much better phone than the 14 Pro Max.

I never have use a iPhone 13. I’m using an iPhone 14 in purple. I’m pretty smart on iPhones. I have a friend about a little bit over 2 years ago. Her son got her an iPhone SE(2) in red and I was trying to showed her how to used it just the basics of it since I have the same iPhone in white that I still have as my backup iPhone 14. I even still have iPhone 8. I have to return that iPhone 8 towards my carrier.
