I'm Going To SPIT MY DUMMY OUT LIKE A 2 YEAR OLD
Today I came across a Steel Stockholder that had an interesting old FLT.
When 2 of the workers came to talk to me we had a bit of a laugh, but then the gaffer came out to have a chat, different story.
When I told him what I was doing, and that I was interested it the old FLT he told me that it wasn't going to move while I was there, but if I had come and asked before filming he would have got the driver to give it a run around so I could have seen it running.
So at the end of the day, he spat the dummy out like a 2 year old, and more or less said, it's my toy and you can't play with it

Judging by how clean his safety gear is, he's not use to stepping out of his office. Never having to get his hands dirty by interacting with staff and the public, must make him a very important man! Maybe that's why he's so angry, bloody staff and public at the same time. Unbelievable! He deserves a pay rise!! That, or he's always just a dummy spitter..... I love audits (for tyrants) as much as the next guy but I really do enjoy seeing all these sites. I was a construction/fab inspector for years and it’s neat to see how the same things are done in different places. I’d like to see more of these sites give you a little tour or more info on what they do but I guess if they can’t manage their own emotions, it might be to much to expect them to manage a tour 😬😄

Thanks for the video. I used to work near this site back in the 1980’s at a bus garage on the Herries Road side. A steel stockholders next door took over the bus garage when it closed down. 👍🏻 I think it was called Hillfoot Steel back then.

I’m guessing the Max lifting capacity of that truck is 18 tonnes, the model number of the truck usually tells you the max lifting capacity, obviously that weight goes down the higher the forks are!

i felt a little sorry for that gentleman in the orange hat. he did not have a happy disposition, and unlike the other workers seemed more bossy, displaying a need to feel superior and in control - typical behaviour of an insecure person. so, don't take his negative attitude to heart, PJ., a person's unpleasantness often stems from something else that's wrong in their lives. let's hope he manages to overcome whatever it is that's making him act this way.
