Norse languages are a must-know, if one wants to sound as cool as possible, one must definitely learn Norse and Icelandic, which are the most alpha and the most obsessive languages ever, and, I highly recommend learning the prettiest and most alpha languages ever Norse / Icelandic / Dutch / English / Gothic / Norwegian / Faroese / Danish / Welsh / Breton / Cornish which are the prettiest and most refined and most poetic and most modern and coolest languages ever created that are way too pretty not to know - I am learning over 30 languages and I have over 50 target languages, and I am upper intermediate level in Icelandic and Norse and German and advanced level in Norwegian and upper advanced level in Dutch and writer level in English and native speaker level in Spanish and mid intermediate level in Swedish / Portuguese / Italian / French and intermediate level in Welsh and beginner level in most target languages!

I have watched all 7 movies only in English as well as read all 7 books in English. The translated versions don't have the proper terms.

@@Sheriberry1519 Yeah, but when we were younger, translated movie versions provided us a way to explore this magic world. And reading books in English is not that easy because of the language issue and it is bit difficult to find English books in typical school libraries (buying them is more difficult than that) So, even though translated versions are not very accurate, they are gems to us 🥰

For me, I felt the Sinhala dubbed movies more than the English ones .I think it happened because they had dubbed to make us feel.I would also like to thank those who dubbed it .And I won't say that I don't feel the English ones

Can't blame you for not including any South African languages. That would have included 10 more languages to your list (if they were translated into any of them) as we have 11 official languages. English is one of them and my language is Afrikaans (similar to Dutch and Flemish). In Afrikaans it would have read as "Ek is Ron terloops, Ron Weasley" reply, "Ek is Harry, Harry Potter".

@@Marbles471 Unfortunately not. They rely on subtitles. Sad though. We have some great old movies that if dubbed, even into English, the world could enjoy them. My personal suggestion, even if with subtitles only would be to watch a movie called Fiela se kind (Fielas child). It is old but it is a fantastic story about a coloured woman (coloured is an ethnicity in South Africa) that finds a white baby on her doorstep in the middle of the night and then raises him as her own. I doubt there is an English version out there. There are two Afrikaans versions. I suggest the oldest one. It is available on KZfaq to watch.

As a swede, I totally understand what you mean. Swedish and norwegian is very similiar but this high-pitch thing at the end is something we find very weird, and swedes often say that it's impossible to take an angry norwegian seriously because they sound so jolly all the time 😅 Also danish sounds very weird to many of us in Sweden. It's common to say that it sounds like they have their mouth full of porridge while speaking, so in a nutshell swedes only find their own language as the one that sounds normal in Scandinavia 😂
