The first two weeks of recovery are going to be the most intense I can tell you that between the packaging and The catheter and the sensitivity your body is going to be so awake to everything. For the first few hours when you start to wake up from that intense surgery just take it easy on yourself and let things just be. They’ll probably want you to start walking within the first two days and setting up more. Depending on the type of bottom surgery that you have you might be able to set up right away or not. But I’m sending nothing but love good vibes and wishes your way you got this you’re strong you’re beautiful and you’re independent youll do great.

Congratulations❣ I had my gender surgery at GRS Montreal. I came all the way from California to get it done there. I loved L'Asclepiade. The staff was great. It was one of the most peaceful and relaxing times of my life. Strange to say even with all I went through there. But it's true. Yes, dilation schedule. So important to follow it. My schedule was 4x/for the first month after. Then 3x/day for the next 2 months. I took the entire summer of 2018 off for my aftercare. I am so excited and happy for you Maya! I've been following you for years and have been hoping for this for you.

Congratulations! I'm so happy to hear about your progress! I'm glad to hear you're able to get it done at GRS Montreal, from what I've heard they're one of the best places to go. Originally, I really wanted to go there, but I'll be getting it done in Minnesota where it's easier for my insurance and stuff like that. Also, please don't feel obligated to document the process more than you're comfortable. It's your body and your life. We're just happy to know that you're following who you are. Congratulations on getting the surgery! 🎉 Such a huge step in your life and it's wonderful to travel along this journey with you :) obviously it's a very big deal so even if this is all we hear about it that's totally fine don't feel pressured to share more if you don't want to :) also if you didn't know, you can buy really pretty dilation kits online incase the medical ones are a little too clinical :) they do the exact same thing and feel and look more like a toy so it can help with relaxing x

I strongly recommend finding a stack of books. If the first 20 pages of one doesn't make a connection with you, ditch it and move on to the next. Avoid anything a friend says "changed their life." Relax, be entertained, avoid the stress of active internet life in exchange for some quiet page-turning. Meet your New Year's resolution of reading :) . I hope you heal quickly, happily, even (in hindsight) miraculously. I look forward to your first video book report.

Yo, good luck girl! It's a crazy surgery, but they are really good at that. Stuff went super well for me and it's going to go great for you! You'll be incredibly happy you did it - maybe not right away while you're still having pain and being all swollen (and having to dilate 3x/day), but just wait for half a year and you'll see the relief finally hitting you like a bus. A good bus. :D

Congrats! I have gone through GRS montreal many times now. I had 2 meta procedures done in 2015 and like 8 phallo related surgeries in 2018/2019. Both the clinic and the recovery house have made changes for the better, so you'll be in good hands. I met and befreinded many MTF's in my time in Montreal as they only ever seem to have one FTM there at a time.

Wow! After all that waiting, it came up kind of suddenly. A lot of the transwomen I have followed on YT tend to drop off posting videos after they do SRS. I get the impression that many of them go through a period of post-op depression. You should not be surprised if it happens to you. It is just a matter of getting back to a regular routine and setting new goals for yourself. I hope you will find the experience as fulfilling as you have looked forward to.

You’re going to do fantastic! I’m about 2 1/2 months after my surgery and honestly I felt fine after just a few weeks! Then again I’m some kind of weirdo recovery superhero or something, honestly I felt fine after the first two weeks, your results may vary! But at the moment I am a little over 2 1/2 months and it all seems like a distant memory, so enjoy everything, remember all the details, and hopefully your recovery will be as smooth and as easy as mine was, I wish you the very best! Maya, you will do great. GRS Montreal is amazing. I had Surgery March 18. The last day of surgery before they covid closure. It is the most wonderful experience. Yes there is pain but they are great about pain management and the staff is fantastic.
