I live in Philly right now and am anticipating my escape date. She really was gentle when speaking about Kensington. Theres tons of videos on youtube showing Kensington, please look them up, but STILL, nothing can prepare you for it, you have to see it for yourself up close, to really get it, the severity of that place. Yes, its always been bad but it is the WORST its ever been, getting worse daily and still, people in North Philly and the area of K&A, friends of mine that live near there, will gasp in terror, grab their head and tell me with so much fear in their voice that I need to be careful when I visit Mexico cuz its dangerous. Meanwhile they can’t sit in their own living room for fear of shots randomly flying thru the window or go outside without seeing syringes on their front stoop…🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️Americans need to wake up. This lady was awesome hope she gets back to MX soon with her permanent residency! All the best to her!

Omg thats a good point, everything about living anywhere in Philly is expensive but Kensington is EXPENSIVE. 200,000and 500,000 to buy or 1500-1800.00 to rent 3 br box of a row home with no front/back yard and where u cant sit outside day or night for gunshots, junkies, drug dealers, fear of getting robbed and/or piles of trashbags thrown everywhere…with ALL THE MONEY that comes into this city, a disgrace

@belltowndaisy I did for a few years a decade ago. I'm currently living in a Texas / Mexico border city. We have plans to relocate to Merida in a month or two, once our home goes on the market and sells. It won't take long to sell, given the state of the market. Why do you ask?

@belltowndaisy Ahh, understood. Yeup, living in Mexico and now in a border city, one gets a feel for what items are inexpensive, and in what country. I also lived just over 10 years in Europe while in the military. I liked it there too! Good people are everywhere, once you learn their customs and enough of their language. They appreciate it.

You are not kidding! Rent in North Carolina is absolutely insane. What I can’t figure out is if minimum wage here is still $7.25 an hour, how do they expect people who make that to live in this state where you can’t even find a one bedroom for less than $800. It doesn’t make any sense!
@southerngrown
@southerngrown 11 ай бұрын
@belltowndaisy I’m sure it is, but it’s not that easy for everyone to pick and leave. People have family that they are close with. That doesn’t mean that rent shouldn’t be lower for some folks. We pay rent just fine. I’m just speaking for the people who make minimum wage.
@PeaceforLisa
@PeaceforLisa 11 ай бұрын
@@southerngrown Back when I was a young woman in the 80’s, we all knew that minimum wage jobs were for high school and college students. Maybe married women who wanted a little part-time store job to work while her kids were in school. We all knew that we had to learn an in demand skill to make good money. Minimum wage is not meant to be a living wage. You learn a skill, you study law, medicine, computer science, learn plumbing, carpentry skills, nursing etc. There are still plenty of jobs that pay well. Folks just have to be disciplined and learn a skill. America isn’t good right now. But a lot of people want something for nothing too. Back in the day we worked full time, went to school at night, and maybe worked part-time on the weekends.

I love Queretaro, and over 60 years visiting and living in Acapulco. I am 80 now, and have been here since 2021 My friends have always been the locals. Some nice and some not so nice, so I blocked them, without anger. Please block your doors, for dishonest security will try to push their way in, and the same in the USA. They will be carried out, if they mess with this 81 years young. Chicagoan. Mexico is my second and final home. I tried to stay in the USA, but at 79, I had to leave for some evil demons feel because I am older, they can just get a key, and open my door at all hours, but my door were heavily blocked, and booby trapped. Get in and be carried out. i was 20, when I went alone to San Antonio from Chicago, and picked up a tour group for 2 weeks. Being born and raised in Chicago, I am never afraid, but some how demons knew the gates of hell will open on them, for I was always ready to defend myself. i will never feel safe, until I die, but I enjoy every day of my 81 years. .

Hi .... We are loving life here in Mexico. It just continues to get better as the months and years go by (been here 2 years now). Kids are loving it (my youngest daughter had 2 of her local friends spend the night last night and my wife just took them out to a Korean restaurant to eat). Looks like they'll be over another night, lol... Kids are adapting very well. Not so much stress to work and keep ahead like it was in the States. So many things to do and activities to participate and join in and it's all very affordable. You just can't beat the quality of life. It's not so much about the stuff you can get for less, but it's about the overall quality of life one can have living in a place like Mexico. It's awesome. My only regret is not doing this 15-years ago.

I live in TN and you can't rent anything at all in my area for less than 1000.00 and you'd be lucky if that included water. It definitely wouldn't include anything else. I own my home, well me and the bank own ot, lol, but it's almost paid off. I'm hopeful I could sell it and use those funds to buy something there. I know I'd have to rent something at first though and since money is a big motivator for me 400.0p all inclusive sounds great to me. Another motivator is the weather. Last year Canada got drunk and sent their weather down here. We had temperatures of 0 and less Fahrenheit. Then the electricity went out and stayed out for 3 days. It was awful. The roads were covered in ice so I couldn't go anywhere. My husband (RIP) had a generator but I have no clue how to operate it and no one could come help me so me and my 2 dogs put on layers of clothes and I did the best I could to keep us huddled and coveted up in the bed. I'm use to high Temps with high humidity, but I'll never get used to Canadian weather in TN with no electricity .

I have been vacationing in Puerto Morelos for many years and when I first got my laundry done it was like a miracle. You take a pile of dirty clothes and get back a nice warm package. And for very little money. Cartess, watching your videos is very enjoyable for me, I have to come visit, I think it is 4 hrs away from Puerto Morelos on the bus, although I think I need to be closer to the beach.

That is so great, and so refreshing to hear that. This lady is enjoying enjoying her retirement. Those are you can get on that float get to mexico And enjoy your retirement financial free period Those of you that feel this is for everyone, it's not because you can't move your entire family to Mexico. There's no jobs for non-hispanic people, so your children, your grandchildren, your niece's nephew's aunt and Uncle's a whom ever you're involved within the states. They won't be able to make a living there. Hard check comes every month as long as she's Breathing. I've had friends talk with me About relocating good at wishing the best. But don't rely on people and other family members. To assist your children, your grandchildren. Your aunt, your Uncle, your parents. Why? You laid up the Mexico period.

I really enjoy your videos although Merida is just too hot year round for me to consider. I wish there was someone like you for every city and country I'm interested in. I think I'll just tourist hop for awhile or perpetually. I'm currently retired and living in my 5rh wheel to make ends meet Like your guest I would enjoy being able to afford eating out and going to the salon. Best wishes.

We could rent our house out for 3,400.00-3,600.00 a month here in Southern California but I’m so afraid of what might happen to our house. It is in the back of mind because it would pay our mortgage plus a rental for us in MX. What holds me back is I want to buy a house in Merida and make it our own. And have no mortgage.

Question….why are the immigrants coming from Mexico to America to live and people from the states moving to Mexico?
@MoveAbroadandThrive
@MoveAbroadandThrive 10 ай бұрын
immigrants coming to US are coming to earn more money (the US dollar gets them some much more in Mexico), which is why US citizens are moving into Mexico because they have US dollars and can get soooo much more with their money than they ever would in the States. And in most cases, have a better quality of life here in Mexico than u did in the States. You'd have to come see it to really understand the big picture. Last estimates showed 25,000 Americans moving into Mexico each MONTH.
