She was hesitant about those CONS at first. Then she got rolling.😆 Most of her cons are just adjustments & previously discussed on this channel, so no surprises there. I knew what Merida was going to look like from those early “walking with Cartess” videos. Showed me everything to expect. Looking for to my new trip. This was a great interview. 👍🏾

Gotta be careful in these 3rd world countries. Never know whos watching. I was watching an interview with an American Black woman last night and she was afraid for her life kept checking the doors n windows due to death threats. All she did was talk about the Ghanian year of the return being a scam and how Black Americans spent 2 billion dollars and all Africans did was beg for more treated her like whites making her pay gringo prices and not really seeing her as an African but a rich American even though she just getting by. Gotta be careful on these youtubian streets

I’m in the process of moving to Mexico and physical aesthetics were actually top of my list, so I knew right away Merida would not do it for me, and after visiting San Miguel de Allende, it was an easy decision. San Miguel checks every box for me and I’m thankful to be in the position to afford to live there comfortably bcuz its biggest con is that it’s not cheap.

@@Mannequin6ix Yucatecan cuisine is influenced by certain historical influences. They are extremely traditional. The beans are very plain. They are black beans that are either just cooked a la olla in the pot, or if they are refried it is with pork fat and some salt and that is it. Simplistic. A lot of pork dishes. Due to Spanish traditions of making sure you are neither a Muslim nor a Jewish person who is avoiding RC conversion. They do not season many foods. Very plain. The chile is very hot. Habañero. They either do it very well or it isn't good. A lot of Holland Dutch cheese is due to trade with the Netherlands. Very lactose intolerant but consuming many dairy products that are lactose-free processed. Traditional foods tend to be plain in seasoning. That is a big problem for people who like well-seasoned foods.

I also had an ant 🐜 problem twice. I had a severe infestation. It took 6 month both times to kill them all. I used rice both times. That's right! I poured rice on top of each ant hill. When I noticed that they carried all of the rice away. I would pour more on top. I probably used about 4 bags of rice over the 6 months. It probably took 6 months because I poured it directly from the bag. I probably should have grinned it. I had the leaf cutting ants. They destroyed my trees and plants over several years. Remember that back in the day our grandmother's used grits. Rice and grits are the same thing.

I did love the candied peanut bar things you can get at a lot of markets. And elotes, marquesitas.... and even if I didn't like the eggs, the chicken in Mexico is so incredible, I didn't eat Canadian chicken again until about 4 years ago, cause it just isn't the same. Too much bureaucracy in Mexico. That's why it takes so long for them to get anything done. I didn't think I'd ever be able to leave Mexico. Right up till my plane was boarding, they were over there strip searching me, made me go to immigration, etc. it was ridiculous. I'm a female solo older woman, and they had all these young people sitting there they didn't pick them. It was freaking ridiculous. I like Merida, but very hot and very dirty. I didn't like the way they treated me. At my hotel when I was leaving, the head guy there told me I should tip everybody from the maids all the way down to the pool guy. I did tip them, and when I tipped him he didn't even say thank you. I gave him $20 and he really didn't help me with anything.I guess it wasn't enough. I really did love my trip to Merida, not so sure about moving there because it's really not very cheap.

It’s not just a few pieces of paper or trash … And you run the risk of injurying yourself with no recourse. Not worth the risk AND it’s someone’s property and u can end up in jail like I did when I accidentally walked onto someone’s property. It’s not as simple as ‘just picking it up yourself’

What's weird is out of all the wonderful information she provided, eye contact is what you're focusing on. Now that's confusing. She's sharing her experience as a courtesy and doesn't need to perform for the camera. Relax. 😂😏🙄

I’d be coming from NYC, the garbage factor around the areas mentioned wouldn’t probably be as noticed by me coming from here though I’m not discounting her con or the point she’s making in the cons list, that would be normal for me 😆 especially with these big rats that NYC tends to have, they’ll even catch the subways with ya out here 😆. The honesty is definitely appreciated and I wish the expat the best in whatever she decides to do next in her living locale choice

i love your videos and have love for you i was honored to meet you before our travels back to the states but im wondering where are the black people that are buying land growing food etc..i guess im disappointed because we see so much about cheap rent etc,,, but the white folk are buying land and actually coming together in mexico costa rica....i am working towards land and much more not just for myself and family and give others opportunity as well.i just wish i could see us come together more and not be divided. i will be having a compound where people of all can come for free to learn and enjoy the culture. You would just need to help on the property..imagine if we put our rent together we could have a growing business for a air bnb providing food etc....just giving people some ideas to think on..i cant wait to share my compound with the beautiful souls that the universe will bring our way.

Hey young lady ... great ideas. I know some people talk about doing it and some have started, but they never seem to get the on-going support to keep it going. People come and go and before you know it, the person who started it disappears. I hope you can make it work cause it's a good idea.

Cleanliness is a problem, it can cause sickness. Clean water, clean land and clean air are the three requirements. If you can't drink the water it can be a huge problem. When you need to hit the head, you shouldn't have a problem. If you're required to pay $$ at a public restroom, the unit should be self sanitizing with a bidet and come with toilet paper. Montezuma's revenge is real and it's a huge problem, disease can be prevented just like in the states. To me cleanliness is next to godliness; I'm not OCD, but cleanliness shows the society cares about each others health. Mexico needs to take society's health as a real concern, the gov't is the first level of fending off disease.

Where do these people live in America where all of these people are getting shot shot at and scared to walk at night??? I lived in big city San Diego in a regular middle class neighborhood and never seen a fight shooting or robbing. White Asian Mexican and Black women all ran and walked fromml 6pm to 2am in the morning.. God bless some of these warzones in America and Mexico

Black women need to stop getting these pedicures. Take care of your own feet or go to the podiatrist.Dont put fake nails on your toes, stop wearing small size shoes for your size, let feet breath. We are prone to diabetes and vascular disease. Diabetics don't heal and are prone to amputation. Going to salon to clean your feet by a stranger is a big NO NO anywhere in the world Sis!!!
