I had to giggle when Grandma and Grandpa were putting the top on the pen. It reminded me of my parents so much. My dad was one who would want to get something done fast and not done properly. More times than not, mom would make him redo the project and would then be the supervisor and make sure that it was done properly. ❤😊

I Love that the little goats have made their way around the yard. climbing on everything. the dogs are so used to keeping them in one area that this was different and they were trying to herd them away from the older goats. they will learn quickly. and as they watch the older goats interact they will both settle down. they are pritecting them by chasing them off. You did FANTASTIC assembling that Retriever enclosure. I have the same one, with the canopy. Thus far the canopy has lasted 6 years. No rips! I had my neighbor help with assembly and set up. We stretched cables under the canopy for extra support, needed when it snows a lot. During winter I use see through tarps with grommets and attach them all around. Oh yes, the enclosure is for the flock of hens. They also have an attached yard surrounding the pen. The reason we use such strong enclosures in our region is because of mountain lions and coyotes who roam these areas. The Retriever pens are about as strong as it gets and nothing gets in.

Watching you putting together the canopy frame reminds me of my hubby and I putting a screeed tent frame together tears ago when we were camping. It was a riot, but we got it done. Several days later, my hubby saw a same style tent that was not together correctly and mention that we had one like it. There was a large family gathering there having a get-together and we ended up having six of the fellows holding corners while the kids took the appropriate connectors around for each post. All the poles, rafters, and connectors were white pvc, so we showed them how to label the ends of each piece with black permanent marker so that they would match up the next time they used it. What a fun time!!😂

Better not let the chickens hear or see you feeding the puppers chicken flavoured treats! You will start a no egg laying protest! Haha

You two reminded me of my husband and myself. He was a “when all else fails, read the instructions” guy and I would read the instructions. My nephew was the same way. I put a big wardrobe together for him that he couldn’t put together because I read the instructions.
