Except the issue was that anyone accused by a man or child was burned without question. Because "why would anyone lie about such a thing? And if they did, it's better to burn what could be a witch and risk killing an innocent than letting a potential witch roam free." Salem truly was history's mark reminding us how hefty just an accusation is. Yet we seen to forget it. It was also a time filled with "I'll let 10 innocents die if it means all witches die" Which we learned from and now most people agree with I'd rather let 10 criminals walk away than condemn an innocent man.
