Marie i felt like that at first too, and then i ended up watching Private Practice and now she’s one of my favorite characters in the Greys universe.

And we're only presented with the facts of why Addison and Derek broke up (she slept with Mark etc). I loved seeing her more fleshed out in Private Practice, I feel like we got to meet her ''properly'' as a person in that series.

They are using the same story lines and characters aren’t interesting. I’ve decided to stop watching because it’s just that bad...

Ava Plays05 the show should really come to an end. It’s had a good run, but it’s been time for it to come to an end for a while now. It went downhill after Cristina left, and that’s when they should’ve ended the show (also should’ve had it that Meredith and Derek moved to DC and Alex taking the job at Hopkins). That definitely also would’ve meant that Derek wouldn’t have died and would’ve saved the fans from the pain of him dying.

That's not what happened at all. He wanted to save his marriage to a woman he's loved for 11 years, but couldn't stop being in love with Meredith, and after she almost died, he wanted to be closer to her, was unable to restrain himself.

when you're with someone for 11 years, they become part of you, part of your life and habit. It is never easy to just let go.

The majority of people who hated Addison did it because they believed she was in the way of Meredith and Derek, not the fact that she cheated on Derek. Addison handled the whole situation in a very classy way and I'm not just talking about this particular scene. Addison owned up to her mistake and never treated Meredith poorly despite of what happened. Addy was an class-act!

Yes, cheating is bad. But, I will say that Addison tried to make it work. Derek said he'd try to but didn't put any efforts into making the relationship work. It was honestly cruel to drag her along when he clearly wanted to be with Meredith. It makes sense to hate Addison because she cheated, but there's so much more beneath the surface. From the fact that Derek sort of fell out of love with her even before she cheated. You learn this because Addison only cheated because Derek didn't pay much attention to her. And, you see it again when Addison reveals how nonchalant and uncaring Derek seemed to be when he caught them together while he physically hurts Mark for even talking to Meredith.

SummerTime Addison knew that he wasn’t in love with her anymore but came back anyways because she knew he would try to make it work. And later tells Meredith that she should have just let him go

Yeah she did cheat on him but that doesn't necessarily means she is a bad person. She was just a person who did something horrible. she came back to try she didn't pull him back into the marriage. she didn't force him to stay. He choose her. He found a young vulnerable girl in a bar and hooked up with her. He chased after that girl knowing he was her boss and started a relationship and oh yeah conveniently forgot to mention he was married. He was the one who left meredith to try save his marriage and again forgot he was trying to save it not ruin it. And he was not horrible to her because she cheated, she cheated because he was horrible to her.

She kept the relationship with Mark after Derek left. Got pregnant by him had an abortion so it's more to her story as much as Derek's
