Interesting! In Germany the government manages to host Syrians, Turkish, Eastern European, and what have ya, and still everyone’s happy with equal rights (that is to live, work/study) where racism isn’t even an issue. Having lived in the UK, as an EU immigrant from the Eastern block, I’ve always thought black people are perfectly integrated and presented with the same brilliant opportunities of the native British, as the British themselves. Of course, the United Kingdom, a detached, conservative monarchy, has a nation particularly proud of its history, and with a great foundation too, so that pride could often be ingrained within people’s mindset - to the point when it steps in the way of rational reasoning, or inhibits it. Hence prejudice emerges (or has emerged), especially based on ethnical, religious, or racial background. But I believe this is being outdated nowadays as more and more young people are being educated, and therefore learn to live and communicate among peers of whatever background. I mentioned Germany because I live in this country now, and have noticed that people are in good unison without having to “prove” how and where differences or gaps exist in communication. They do exist and ignorance does virtually anywhere but, ideally, a man has to be able to set a good relationship with new people in order to progress individually, as a rule in life and especially concerning the young - like myself.

Yep it would be better to say engage with me and we can walk togther. Some people engage through comparison or denial etc as that's all they have to offer at that point. By making people nervous to comment or attempt to contribute to a conversation its shutting down an element of connection and dialogue. If people only feel able to agree or be silent it can compromise a sense of honesty in connection.

Am I the only one who feels like the BLM movement have the right motivations and ideas but have executed it terribly? It feels like now white people’s opinions are less valued than black people’s just because they haven’t suffered racial discrimination. Racist and offensive opinions are censored, which i think is also wrong. Ultimately, different people are going to find different things offensive, and even whether or not you see certain things as racist comes down to a matter of opinion in some cases. Being racist should not be a crime. Causing offence shouldn’t be either, yet a growing number of people seem to think that it should. For example, when a white BBC presenter said the n word, the BBC statement said that they knew it would cause offence but thought it was important to show the full severity of the language used. Some people then replied with “If you knew it would offend people you should never have aired it” as though if something will be offensive to some people means it should never be talked about. Sensitive topics must be talked about, often blatantly to catch attention, in order to be resolved.
