Totally agree with you guys and marketplace. My experience was that for items I sold they either didn't show or showed out of the blue not what we setup for time, date. Items I wanted to buy like a hardtop recently, I didn't care about the $$ I knew it was going to be expensive but I've had two guys where we set a date, time, I was half way to their place and they told me they sold it to someone else. Two days later it was $100-200 more then what they wanted. I'm guessing they got bigger interest or saw I was interested and raised the price. That said, everyone wants things cheap and they'll find every possible way to lower the price. Too much judgement out there and too many opinions. I've got ppl leave reviews just for the reason of not agreeing with price of stuff I sold. Hey, it is what it is... just because I got something you need, doesn't mean I'm also selling it at the price you want. :P

I can tell you know exactly what we’re talking about. Concerning the people raising the price and your heading their way Hugh Lack of Character. We sold one of work vans a couple years ago to a young black girl. Before she had a chance to come look at it because of her work I had another fellow contact me. Actually like 20 people that day. This one fellow was persistent. I said that I was giving her first chance. He called back and said he was heading my way with additional 1000.00 to convince me to sell it to him. I’ll admit I listed it to cheap in the first place. I told the guy to not bother coming but he kept calling. Several hours later she came after work when I asked what she was going to be using for. She said her dad had gotten himself in a tuff spot and needed to go back to work. She was literally buying it for her dad for work. It was worth losing a 1000 to know who and what it was going for.

@@RubiKidd06 exactly... well kept to the girls first dibs on it, and I've always had rude people like that guy. Nice of the lady doing that for her father. Ever had ppl that would come because they just had to, coming with extra $$ to overthrow your the person you said has first dibs on it. Then when they finally show up even though you told them not to bother because someone before them is looking at it first, they start to argue with you with a half price offer because they know better then you what they'll pay now even though their response to seeing the part or whatever, was like "man, i can't believe how clean it is or new"... yup got that too. lol

@@Driven716 I’ve never let it get that far. I do believe you about a person coming then trying to low ball you. 🤔

I rolled my TJ out in Johnson Valley earlier this year, parts weren't too bad to get and got fairly lucky on the prices for the parts I needed. Out here in southern california TJ hard tops are 1k+ that aren't in prime condition , full doors are 700+. Supply and demand, they dont make a lot of things for the TJ anymore so its harder to get certain things. It's one thing to negotiate on a price but I don't get the whole lowballing on something that's obviously worth a certain price, and then complaining about it.

There’s nothing wrong with making a offer. Just make the offer and see what if anything happens. From your comment above (rolling your Jeep) sounds like your raising the price of parts yourself 😀. Just joking, glad your okay.

You don’t tell a man what his product is worth. If the price is more than you think it should be then move on to the next guy. If they want it bad enough they will pay.

My sentiments exactly. If you don't like the price... don't buy it... keep on shopping. Pretty simple to me.

"If you don't sell me your stuff for less than its market value, how am I supposed to flip it for a profit?" Inflation is real, and more people than ever are khunts.
