I tried after 12 years of being totally natural. We have the exact same hair texture and after using it I tried a wash and go. It did for me exactly what I needed. It left my fro the way I love it when I have it fully drenched with conditioner. It stayed elongated without the conditioner and I love it!. I will caution to be very familiar with your hair and the different types of curl patterns u may have throughout your head. To get a more unified look overall, start in the areas that have the tightest curl pattern and finish last where the curl is looser. This is for those who want to wear your hair out without any additional straightening. After a week of wearing a wash n go, I actually blew it out, had it trimmed, and flat ironed my hair. I was completely obsessed with it. I kept it straight for a week. I've been in a protective style since then. I'm on a growth journey so I can't wait to see what it looks like after I take it out. I did the texlax on 10/2/2021.

I have fine natural hair with a curl pattern that isn’t tight at all is just very wiggly loose curls/waves hoping this helps so I can wear it straight. I literally JUST bought this product from the target I work at lol hopefully it works out I haven’t seen any negative or non beneficial reviews so I’m excited 😆

I wish Affirm would make a texlax and include their fiber guard. I’ve been waiting. I never had trouble with their product when I was relaxed. I been natural now for over 10 years and really would like to texlax but I’m just very particular with my brands. I do have the same texture as you so I know what your talking about. Really want the change for 2022 tired of the wigs and crochet and want to wear my hair out. Any experience with color at all since being texlax? I’m afraid of breakage. But I use the best treatments I can find to avoid that at all cost. Congratulations 🎊 on your new beginnings.

I totally here you! You should be cautious and do research before taking the leap. If affirm worked for you back then it def makes sense to keep with that. I’ve done a black color rinse on my hair with the design essentials lo lye relaxer my hair stylist uses on me with no issues.

Why am so late to this video!? Congrats girlie that is soo cool!! I am thinking of relaxing my 9 yr old daughter's super thick 4c classic-length hair .... it's just running my life. But now I might just texlax I don't Know. Tfs Luv!!

@msnetnet jones tonight I just put the ors mild in my 8 year old. We both were happy with the results. My child have extreme shrinkage and TENDER HEADED..with crying. I had enough of it. I was going to use the Regular strength because I use that one in my hair. Until I saw the mild in store. Her hair was washed and blown dried for a week to prep for relaxing. While putting the cream on and throughout working it in you can see the curl pattern. Washing it Ican see the difference immediately. I was able to comb through each step with No Crying no pain. The wet hair was much looser. My child hug me after the blow dry saying "thanks it didn't hurt at all" for me it was an excellent choice. Good luck to you both.

My daughter is 8 were ready for a change on her 4c hair. Is this a good relaxer for her?or a regular relaxer of the ORS box relaxer?she is very very tender headed

Oh my I literally just tried it on my hair! 4a/b I will tell you my experience. I had to run to get it out. Still recovering lol. I never had a relaxer do this to me. I have used affirm no lye. There was so much tingling and burning 🔥 it was on 8 minutes. I used it exactly how it said. Just thought I would comment because I would hate for that to happen to an 8 year old so proceed with a lot of caution ⚠️ Silk press maybe for her. Good luck !

I used this on my 9 year old 4c hair and she didn't have burning or anything. Be sure to coat your scalp with Vaseline to prevent burning. It worked well on her hair.

The application must be done so fast that I think you cant do it by yourself alone at all... i dont get if it is even less than a regular mild relaxer, why does it process the hair so fast? That is a big con I think

That is a good point! The results are elongated curls, not straight hair, but it sure feels like a regular strength relaxer when applied. I have a sensitive scalp so that’s a con for me too. Thanks for the feedback my love!
