As a Rangers fan you can’t help but love this kid, and for him to score the first goal of the playoffs in his first career playoff game was electric.. haven’t been this excited to see someone on the ice in a long time, low offensive expectations so whenever he puts up points is amazing and his physical presence on the ice is tremendous to watch

@@natthaphonnoble7946 I think Boogaard's issues were due to a mix of physical pain and CTE effects. He went too far, and I actually thought of him when Rempe got in the spotlight. He should reduce fighting for the purpose of protecting players and maybe any other game a fight "for fun". I'm a huge Rangers fan, so I root for the kid, but I also root for his health.

I like this kid and the fact that hes not afraid to fight. Not only that, but the 3 fights he's had since he made his NHL debut a week ago have all been high rated fights that were between 30-60 seconds long. And hes thrown hands with all veterans, even beat Deslaurier. So those saying he cant fight are fucking high lol. Hes had 3 of the best fights ive seen on the ice. But he needs to tone it down some, hes had alot of shit happen in the week hes been in the league. If it keeps up that way, he could get ejected. Hopefully he doesn't, i think hes a great addition to NHL. We need more like him

I'm a huge Rangers fan, and I'm all about fighting to protect teammates, and if he likes it, any other game is fine, but I'm concerned about his health: CTE is a thing, noone can deny it, so I'm rooting for the kid, but I he should give himself a few games in between fights. You’re not wrong. He’s gifted with tremendous size, but he keeps his head on the line. He’ll be working on the fight game this summer. Next season will be a true barometer of where he stands. He’s definitely someone to root for, because of the enthusiasm and the understanding of how blessed he actually is to be in the show. I hope he has a long, successful career.

He’s humble and he respects the game and the opportunity he’s been given. Even if he never steps on the ice again in the show, he made it. How many guys of his caliber can also say they’ve outscored Ovi in a playoff series?

I grew up with old school hockey, but so many of these enforcers struggle with CTE and brain trauma after retirement and a lot of them have taken their own lives, like Chris Simon did a few days ago. Belak, Boogard, Ewen, Johnson and few others too over the years. It’s fun for the fans but it’s conflicting for me these days.
