Since you are starting from scratch, it might also be a good idea to learn a new control scheme. Such as controller with Gyro + Flickstick. You have thousand of hours of experience on keyboard and mouse, you have already mastered the controls. Switching would give you a new challenge, a new thing to grind for by trying to masterr it, and would help you understand new players, since you likely have forgotten what it's like to be a new player who's trying to figure out the movement mechanics and such. You can use steam input for everything, but I use JoyShockMapper just for Gyro and Steam for button mappings. I customized the key mappings a lot and I can share my config. There's also rewasd and ds4windows. Gyro needs a lot setup and tweaking but I think it's worth it, makes playing the game on controller viable.

Tip #1 for your new account: scam people on trade chat (Ammo Case has the same worth as a Glaive Prime set, the Corpus elite are hiding this fact)

I did a few months ago. Started playing in 2016 and just ran out of things to do so started again froms scratch. The amount of early game changes that have been introduced was a nice suprise. There seems to be alot more emphasis on story over mindless grinding early in the game and its a nice change of pace. Glhf tenno :D

Endgame? Bro, I feel like a lot of this is self-inflicted. Those last few thousand hours was endgame. I'm not trying to say Warframe is perfect, but for it to keep engagement for thousands of hours is pretty impressive. Obviously, Warframe can get stale when it's all someone plays(not saying that's the case for you). I do love your videos. Don't get me wrong. I don't wanna seem like a hater either, but at times, I feel like the expectations the community has can be unrealistic. That being said, I hope this new journey you set out on will reignite that spark you have for the game

I feel like I could never do this, my account is 9 years old, whenever I got burnout I just went to other games for a while. Or I spent time redecorating my dojo or orbiter. But whatever works for you, should be an interesting experience.

I had the thought of doing this with the plan of making a "Master guide" of sorts. Giving new players a streamlined way of progressing through the game with as little confusion as possible. I had this idea of course because I've gotten extremely annoyed of having to watch dozens and dozens of videos and checking the wiki hundreds of times just to understand how to do the next thing or what the next thing I should do EVEN IS. And then I didn't do it because that's just way too much work. Anyways good luck!

I also started from the beginning, the challenge is to keep the lowest possible MR. I've already maxed out all stuff required like AMP MECH, one PRIM and one SEC, etc. I'm an early MR8, I don't think it can be lower (due to Baro and access to all relays). ANd rivens... rivens are easy mode for people who simply are braindead and not looking for challange, or for noskills.

I've always thought it would interesting to see a real warframe ironman mode (like in osrs ironman) where you can't trade other players and have to get everything yourself. Would require a shit ton of time though lol

Suggestion: Beginner's Guide - Standing What is standing, How to obtain it, a Suggested Order (Like farming Solaris United before Ostrons so that you can get the better mining tool and mining tool upgrades before trying to make a Zaw), a Breakdown of each faction's offerings, etc.

you could do a beginner guide showing new players how to progress faster and what weapons/gear to get at each level and what stuff to keep and whats just good for MR ranking affinity.. good luck.. cheers!

I have done the same thing, but for a different reason. I had such a long break that I didn't know what to do with my old account, so I made a new one. After that I decided to also play Warframe on my switch (before crossplay) and this was so challenging, but also frustrating because of the controls that I made a new account on PC again but with restrictions. I was only allowed to play solo and to use at most MR 1 weapons (except for archwing/nechramech) and I wasn't allowed to spend any plat or trade with players. That resultet in probably the most fun I had with the game yet. I had to plan my equipment, progression etc. Thanks to Incarnon-Weapons I also conquered most of the endgame, so by now I decided to be more lenient because I wanted to chase some power, and removed (only) my MR restrictions. Well anyway, maybe this is something for you as well :) at least for the start of your new account, it changes a bit how you approach and think about the game.

My suggestion is to give yourself a challenge of some kind for example not using primes of any kind (even mods, screw Baro), softbanning your most used frames/weapons and focusing on your least used or even just using default colour combinations (just taking off your fasion gives the game an entirely different feel). I think a bigger issue is that at the endgame, half the gamemodes just aren't fun. The most fun I've had in a game mode was with the updated disruption, and it's exclusively because a marker was put onto the target. After that you have survival, which is really just exterminate with a main objective of "don't forget to breathe" or void cascade, which is fun too but gets wildly overwhelming half the time, or defense, which scales like dogshit. De needs to make an endgame game mode. Something that's repeatable and fun.

the worst part of being L4 is that all there is to do is a few mission every week that feel worth my time. while playing the few missions you cant even play frames you want you have to play the random frames you don't like. I with there was endgame that felt rewarding, not just a weekly punishment.

Warframe is a weird game As a new base star chart player I give players minimum info (just enough so they dont nerf themselves say running gas vs corpus over just toxin) at the start of SP i suggest meta but leave builds to the player and after you are in the late game I say use your own wacky unique build otherwise youll be bored before you even pilot a RJ

This is actually really smart. Veteran players can watch parts again with nostalgia, without the pain of watching a new player do certain incorrectly (which can be funny each watch people make the same mistakes that they once made, but annoying to watch them struggle with basic mechanics at times) While news players can get good advice from someone who knows what they are doing and what to focus on, and has proper perspective on the resources new players have.

If you're going to do this, I think you need to establish some ground rules, to make this more fun and fair. I've got two: First, you cannot rely on your teammates to carry and taxi you for efficient team farming without you first reaching a level where you yourself can be a contributor to the team. This is the reality that every new player faces, and it wouldn't be right if you were to bypass it with your vast resources. And the second rule is that you cannot purchase anything from the market with your money (with the exception of fashion frame). Your plat must be farmed for. Again, this is more reflective of the average player. Similarly you cannot ask other players for resources to be given to you via trades for free, such as melee stance mods.

Can i just stay that a lot of the free to play/second account playthroughs just get abandoned because no one cares. Veterans wont watch, new players are just going to get revenant until they get bored of him I cant imagine this is going to be a fun or successful long term endeavour Personally, id rather watch someone with access to all of the tools in the game spending long streams trying to break frames. Using helminth and mods and weird interactions to get the absolute most out of frames no one cares about. I recently did the same thing with banshee and oberon and ive never had more fun with the game

Warfame needs a "nerf yourself" mode kinda like Conclave. No, not that horrendous "enemy stats are 10x and your energy is halved and after all your forma upgrades and theory crafting builds you now suck". No, I want a mode that lets you only equip non-special weapons (no incarnons or primes), blocks all augments on weapons/frames/companions, and only leaves niche or low threat mods to be used. It's almost like the Grendel missions but if you could equip something like Patagium with no problems.
