I love Guus. He's just so solid. At first I thought he was a bit aloof like he didn't care. But it seems like he really cares so much. And Stan, he's not in the videos much but he's been there from the start just doing his part. Fucking legend man.

I feel like the average viewer expects some kind of hyper-excitement where every moment is entertaining, but the beauty of this project is not only the raw realism of the situation you’re going through but the resilience your presenting throughout - you’re not doing a 5 day Mr Beast challenge, you’re doing a first-time feat for humanity and it’s not appreciated half as much as it should be

11:36 The Dutch saying goes '(to see) bears on the road'. So not the drink, but the animal. It means to foresee trouble ahead. So 'no bears on the road' means something like 'I foresee no trouble, it's gonna be fine'. Having said that, i might go for a beer on the road as well.

I'm expecting it to be one of those video series that will never stop being watched, and might not even reach it's peak number of viewers even for years after he's done! There will be alot of people who wont know about it until it hits the news when he finishes too. Or maybe a movie/series version might hit one of the big streaming websites, with some extra commentary from the team. We are the lucky ones that get to see it as it's happening!

Kinda concerned that you'll lose Russ especially now that there's no signal. If there are forking roads it'll be easy to get disoriented and go the wrong way in the dark. If you last saw him 30km ago that'll be an extremely large radius to search and you might not find him before he runs out of water, especially given that he would start dehydrated from being deep into his run when you lose contact. Is it possible to meet up with him every 5k through the desert stretch so there's a smaller radius to search if you lose contact?
