I was rewatching some of brysons videos recently and i came upon this one. As a 13 year old girl, this really resonated with me. Im literally like 4" 11. IM BEING SERIOUS I AM THAT SHORT. people always bug me about it and its so annoying. People tell me "oH sInCe YoUr A gIrL, uR hEiGhT dOeSnT mAtTer" but it really does. Ive gotten more used to it though, and this video reminded me that im not the only one who is/was super short in their teen years. (Also, im superior at hide and seek lmao)

Fun fact: the word "short" is longer than the word "long". Edit: yeah, I know it should be tall instead of long but I'm braindead and didn't realize it until like a year after I posted the comment

I remember so many times when other kids would point out how short other people were. I remember one time in the lunch line there was a kid named Diego and a kid named Owen behind me. Both of them were talking and then out of no where Owen says “ Not to be mean or anything but you’re really short” I also remember another time many years ago in the lunch line again there was a girl named Sammy who was like 5’6 which was really tall for our age. Then out of no where in front of everybody she said to me “I never realized this before but you are really small” and after that I sort of hater her because she embarrassed me in front of a lot of my friends and just random people.

Its ok that ppl call you short, i mean like dont feel bad, we all are here for you.

This line "If people think they're better than you just cuz they're taller than you, then that just means they don't have anything else to measure their self-worth with." can be applied in so many ways and is a great way to word it. I'm going to use this going forward. Thank you.

Pros of being short: You always go in the front of the group picture You don’t get smacked in the face by tree branches When you don’t know what to talk about you can complain about being short
