Howdy Sir, I discovered you by chance through your powerful reaction to Struggle’s ‘cry for help’ song. I’m a huge MMA fan, grew up in karate w my younger brother. Unfortunately I was dx w Multiple Sclerosis at 16 and while I pushed through he passed suddenly from misdiagnosed inflammation of the heart at 13, I was 18. I backed away after losing him but eventually returned to training & competition (sparing, bow & kata National team - blackbelt women’s) until of course my MS beat me down. It crushed me. I avoided anything related until years later. Now 38 I’ve loved watching MMA as it grew into what it is and in a way keeps me bonded to my brother. My great grandfather was stationed at Fort Hood after fighting in WWII in Europe & Pacific (69th signal corp B). My great grandparents had a little dinner right by base that served the soldiers and grandpa actually helped build the housing around the base. Unfortunately they decided to come to Michigan when he got an offer to work for Chrysler working at the factory used by military to build tanks later to vehicles. He still kept on building houses apparently just to keep busy too. He never spoke of the war but was highly decorated including 2 bronze metals. Been digging on his experience for half my life but govt apparently doesn’t want to share all his info for some reason. Still my family has fought for generations for this country in every war all the back to the union up to today. I’m beyond grateful for their sacrifice. Our family definitely has the Texas strong mentality and great grandpa always said he regretted moving up here but hey here I am. A Michigander gal w a weird mix accent of Irish, Texan & Michigander that’s been passed down through family lol. Most my lineage is Irish escaping the famine w a bit of German before WWI. But great grandparents always said we are Independent, strong willed, freedom loving fighters of Irish-Texan stock & proud Americans. My apologies for the long stories. I just find it astonishing YT actually suggested a good channel & gentleman like yourself w so many links to my life. I don’t know if you are a police officer or former military but I appreciate you supporting them. Especially on times when it’s deemed so wrong to do so. I had friends in Afghanistan in that ‘pull out’ and as 911 occurred months after I graduated hs dozens of friends & family have served in the sand box of the middle east. Some never came home, some returned torn apart physically & most broken mentally. I’ve lost more since they returned than in war. Yet people ignore it. It breaks my heart that people take so much for granted here. Sorry I could go on forever on this. Its deeply close to my heart. But I digress. I just wanted to thank you for sharing this. I definitely look forward to watching the show. Its so amazing you got to be apart of such an awesome project. I look forward to catching up on other videos as well. I apologize again for my novel here I promise I won’t flood your comments w such long one’s going forward. Its nice to meet you sir. I hope you are you’re family are safe & well. Best wishes ~ Bella

Thank you so much for the comment. I love long comments personally as I enjoy learning about people who happen upon the channel. I am happy to hear that despite the hurdles life has thrown at you that you are able to continue your martial arts journey when able. I will include you in my prayers for sure. That is awesome that your family had instilled in you the spirit of a Texan as it is for sure a mindset and a spirit. No one has to be born here to be Texan and it never leaves if you have to leave the State. I am from a small Texas town in the Hill Country called Liberty Hill. But with my father being a Green Beret we traveled quite a bit before I was able to return home to Texas around 16 years of age. I am a Police Officer who comes from a military family so Military and First Responders will always have my love and respect on this channel. I will try to post more martial arts content on the channel as I get back into my Photography and Videography. I am very happy that you found the Channel and I look forward to seeing more of your comments no matter the length. 👊💪🙏

@@TheMMADad goodness I honestly didn’t expect a reply as it’s pretty rare but just had it on my heart to share. Thank you so much for you kind words & prayers. And thank you for serving to protect people like myself self here at home. I have great respect for all first responders just as I do the military. You protect us here while they fight the battles elsewhere. I know how hard it’s been for y’all these past years. I live in a small rural area with county sheriffs so they cover lots of ground from rural, suburbs & some cities. I’m lucky to know many of our sheriffs and they have been through a lot. So I try my best to occasionally drop by with some treats to say hi and thank them. So I hope you know there are people who truly are grateful for what you do. Can’t wait to see your fights and loving your music reviews. Music is my escape as a singer I love every kind of music you can imagine lol. So its great to find new artists. I’m not sure if five finger death punch is considered independent artists or not but I think you would really like their music if you haven’t checked them out already. They have songs for military, police & fire. Its amazing. Its really great you got to travel a bit growing up as a base brat I assume :) Sounds like your dad’s an amazing guy as well. Please send him my gratitude for his service. But its awesome you made it back to Texas. I’m definitely grateful for the spirit of Texas rolling with me. Sorry I can get myself rambling lol. It’s wonderful to meet you. Been binging your stuff all day. If ya ever need artist/song suggestions in this genre let me know. I have over 10k songs on playlists just on YT & have so many amazing independent artists & foreign bands as well. I guess I just like music a bit much lol. Stay safe out there. God Bless
