Don’t cut ties they want you in your life

In a situation like this you have to get down to the basics. I have a pretty negligent mother. She let my siblings get abused by our father, sexually, emotionally, etc(God separated me from the family early so I didn’t go through the abuse). As a young adult I struggled to accept my parents especially my mother coz she’s always been very detached from us but I remember finding one important thing in all that which was that THEY GAVE ME LIFE and I decided to honor them for that. May God help this man find the beauty in his mother coz am sure it’s haunted her all her life.

Honestly this made me cry must learn to live and forgive bless him and his family may he find closure for him and his life

Steve always get it in the right prospective, the young man has a lot to be thankful for no matter what his past or whom his biological mother is or not have been for him. God has blessed him enormously. Show her some love, you're here.

Some people like to throw stones at Steve Harvey because he’s not led a perfect personal life especially in his past. But I think it’s exactly what makes him qualified to give good advice. No one is perfect. And we can’t change our past. But when we can reach out and help to lift up, and advise others in a positive way it can make a world of difference. God moves in mysterious ways. And He chooses us to do His will. Lord knows that none of us are perfect. But God chooses the one among who is perfect for the job.

Steve is the best. Steve just demonstrated the importance of father's and father figures in a man's life. I don't know if this man had a father in his life, but a true father would have walked him through what Steve gave him in five minutes. This is more difficult on the soul than it seems, and whereas Steve gave him the best advice ever, in just in a few minutes, situations like these requires more than a 5 minute therapeutic session to fix.

Sometimes, you have to look at what you have to understand what you don't have. He lost a mother and gained a mother and grandmother! Now that's a blessing!!

It wasn’t ideal what happened to him, but it seems like he had a better upbringing than many. And much to be grateful for. I’m guessing if his adoptive mother was still with him, she would also encourage him to forgive his biological mother as she must have been loving and compassionate. His biological mother was a scared child, and it looks like God provided him with a better life than he would have had with that child. Continued Blessings to all.

Woo Lord, that means someone impregnated this child at 12yrs old she was definitely a baby having a baby! She’s suffered forgiven and let it go! She did the only thing she knew to do at that time! It's really solid advice to sooth the soul Steve is giving. However I can't help but feel the young fella a little bit. Letting go of the very deep feeling the questions he has is work of a lifetime. You gonna live with that for your entire life. "Why did she have me at 13?" "Why did she abandon me?" Ain't nothing gonna silence those questions. You gotta make peace with them. Don't go down the rabbit hole and speculate. Accept it as is and live in the present.

SHE WAS 13...and obviously scared to death. She didn't kill him, she didn't abort him ...she left him where someone could find him and love him. I think he should open his heart to her.
