Look up Houston Crosta. They rebuilt probably the most famous Bugatti in the world that drove into Galveston Bay over a decade ago because a "pelican flew in front of him" and he swerved. I think the guy was arrested for insurance fraud. Jason Cammisa just drove it in today's Hagerty video. Btw, Ed had his eyes on that one as well before it was restored

The family did not own them for long because of legal troubles and sold off their Coronado home and cars to then relocate back to Mexico City/Guadalajara and Tijuana briefly. i just spent several months trying to convince a guy to sell me an old 4 wheeler that hasn't ran in years. I finally got him to do it.... I can NOT say I was patient by any means. Truth is I tried to buy a few other ATVs in the mean time, but NO ONE would commit to a sale. Worked out in my favor and I'm happy for that in the end. Getting there was a horrible ride, though.
