Exactly! I was waiting the entire time for him to finally add the fragments, I really didn't expect he wasn't going to add any particles at all. That would have sold the effect, even though real chocolate doesn't "explode" when you break it.

Well done! Several people on the comments point out that it's better to have some chocolate bits flying away from the crack. Not sure if I agree to that because when I broke a chocolate, most of the time there was no visible pieces falling. For me, what Daniel did in this video is closer to reality.

There is nothing wrong with liking the video but commercials always exaggerate reality and specially for a brand like MrBeast When Daniel went viral with the Epic B-Roll style, nobody watched the videos thinking « this is exactly how I cook in the kitchen, throwing things in the air and smashing them on the counter ». But yeah, I guess what you really meant is that you prefer it without the bits and that TOTALLY FINE 👍🏾👍🏾

Love it! especially filming off centre of the bar as the middle point isn't the bar but the edge of the broken bar. very good little detail a lot of people might forget and cause a flaw in the end result. i do think you should have mentioned that! Great job !!

I think one other cool addition would have been to have some of those chocolate crumbs/chips fly out of the bar to add to that break effect, it would also compliment the branding on the packaging more too. Really dope effect!

Excellent! One thing I kept hoping you would add are tiny bits of chocolate flying off the split of the bar at and past the camera. If you had a stretchy green screen material, shoot a top down hitting the bits of chocolate laying on the stretchy green from underneath. Even just a few might add some more dynamics. Or maybe not, just a thought. Always enjoy these. ✌🏼

when the chocolate wrapper is opened, small chunks of chocolate could pop out from the screen into the background. Then, as the chocolate wrapper is closed, it could morph back into one piece, but with a bite taken out of it by a monstrous creature. It would add a cool and dynamic touch to the experience!

the idea is insane and how smooth it came thats sike, i think when the chocolate broke apart the chocolate peices could have shattered out and with that sattisfying crystal sound effect.

Very useful video. You could throw chocolate chips that you scraped up into the air on the greenscreen, and put the camera on top. Then add this shot to the video. It would look like crumbs flying in slow motion.

I thought you would have used some of the chocolate shavings to composite another layer with the break. That way you could have had some up to down motion of the shavings falling out of frame. Just my 2c. Looks awesome anyway.
