I can't help thinking that this would have been easier if he had bought boxes of rice crispies and sugar puffs, rather than popping the grains himself. However i think he enjoys the process of doing it himself.

I've never seen a device like that, that you used to puff the rice. And I don't know this chocolate bar. Maybe that's a polish thing?^^ Not gonna lie, it looks like a witches kitchen at 9:16 , where he mixes this in this big pot with a spatula. If he had put in green food coloring, this really could be a witches cauldron, lol

It's actually a British chocolate bar from Cadbury. But you can buy it in Germany as well.

I never understood why they put corn syrup and sugar in the caramel. Caramel is just sugar, milk or water and butter. Corn syrup is liquid sugar, so one of the other would suffice. But I don’t get using both.

It modifies the texture of the caramel. Corn syrup helps prevent the table sugar from recrystalizing back into table sugar. It could give a more gritty texture to the caramel if many large sugar crystals start to reform in the carmel.
