I made a tiny cosy Hobbit book nook using mostly recycled Christmas trash and craft items from my cupboard and I just love it!

If you are like me the early months of the year are cold and dreary and I find myself wanting to hibernate under a blanket by a log fire, dreaming of the summer and better weather. I scratch-built a cosy Hobbit book nook from design to completion, I hope you like it :)

what I like about this is that you didn't 3d print anything. you used common things that people can find and use. thank you for that.

Thank you, this one was straight from pencil to paper and a challenge, although I have to admit most of my builds I do design in Adobe Illustrator first ☺️

I love all the details you put in it, any Hobbit would be honored to have such a cozy nook for themselves, I'm sure^^ I love that more and more crafters are showing you don't have to only use expensive crafting supplies to make art, it makes my little trash sculpting heart warm lol.

I love using natural items and “junk” as my materials. I’ve spent very little money on mine. My neighbor picks me up items when she goes thrift shopping. And all my natural comes from our Woods on our property…of course I use items I recycle. @zestvisions work is absolutely amazing!!!! Very talented. Do you post yours? I love seeing people’s work. Kits are beautiful but I love handmade projects.

Yes! Adding the literal depth to the scene really increased the illusion of the whole outdoors right outside the window. :D

What an awesome Book Nook you made out of old Christmas paper and cards, and I love how you used the lid off a Pringle's can to make the round window. But my favourite part of your Book Nook is the scene you created beyond the window so it looks as if there's another world back there. I'm stunned by your creativity and talent. In the mid or late 1970's my mother built a cardboard parking garage and fuel station for my Matchbox cars because we couldn't afford the similar toy set advertised on television. Folks like her and you inspire me. Thank you for sharing!

I make miniature fairy houses all from recycled items, natural items from our woods, odds and ends from around the house or other projects. I love your books. So much easier than I do mine. @@zestvisions you’re so welcome. Yes, looks much easier this way. I’ve made 6 or 7 or so but I want a lot. This will be so much better. Doll house scale just doesn’t work for me either. I’m not an everything to scale creator. lol fairies use all kinds of material for making things, trinkets, and recycled items. My big house is three floors and everything is mixed as far as scales. Tinker Bell used different human things. lol my next project will be in a huge dog kennel that I’ll clean and paint white. I plan to put a tree section or bush with hopefully a couple of branches to make a tree house in like Tinks.

@@zestvisions Actually I’ve just decide to post them…hopefully here on my channel…my granddaughter is going to help me. I do have instagram and another social media that we could share pictures on. I probably have a 100 hours in my big fairy house. Great shutdown project during the pandemic. I definitely had the time. I’m not big on social media at all. I’ll be posting pictures from the beginning of my fairy house up until I finished it. I also have a village and lanterns with fairy rooms in them. I will eventually do videos on how I make items, and all.
