Aerials have so much more variability than ground plays. The fact that it’s this good already, more training on pro datasets could make this bot so good it might start giving pros ideas. Kinda like how Sony’s Gran Turismo AI took some driving lines pros never thought of but are still feasible strategies for humans

While this may have been a real person playing, Nexto 2.0 is actually becoming a thing and you can watch it training live at www.twitch.tv/rlgym Nexto was a top 100 1s quality bot at ground play, but it had an aerial ability of Grand Champ because it had no training against various aerial plays such as air dribbles, ceiling shots, flip resets, double taps, etc. But 2 new bots called "Tecko" and "Ragnarok" are being trained, which are learning to perform and defend these aerial shots, as well as replicate Nexto's ground ability. Additionally, Ragnarok is able to learn 5 times faster than previous bots. If this bot is successful we may end up with an RLCS level bot, or potentially even an unbeatable bot. Additionally you can try 1v1 the actual Nexto bot (and Tecko/Ragnarok once they officially release) at rlbot.org
