... not entirely true, some sure, but I wouldn't say many, and if they do contrast like say Charmander, you'd think a salamander would be water but it's fire, it's because it draws from myths. It has a grain or multiple of inspiration from other sources. Like Bulbasaur is a frog, but it's grass with that smelly plant on its back. Like there are 3 lions, Entei, Pyroar, and Solgaleo, 2 of them are fire not because African Lion's live in hot places, but because lion's are commonly associated with the sun center of the universe, royalty, even in astrology the "planet" for Leo is the sun. Meanwhile Solgaleo isn't fire because it represents the lion from alchemy that eats the sun... so why is it steel which is weak to fire? Because it's based off alchemical lion that symbolizes purification of metals, psychic because psychic type is the equivalence to the light type in Pokemon. You could think the same of Suicune, for example, it's the north wind Pokemon, but it's not flying type, because it purifies water, and symbolizes one of the 3 elements that killed the beast trio... ok the water didn't kill them but you get what I mean, lightning struck the tower (Raikou), they died in the fire and the tower burned from that (Entei), and the rain put it out. Almost every Pokemon has some inspiration... ahem SEEL AND DEWGONG, but if it is something simple like them then it is with a type associated with said animal, and a lot of Pokemon are just that simple, Shellder is just a clam, psyduck a fightless duck so just water, etc... I didn't even get into inanimate objects or humanoid Pokemon like Gardevoir or Machamp that aren't based on any animals, Haterene is a witch/princess, VANILITE IS A LIVING FREAKING ICE CREAM CONE. Then you got the amorphous egg group, and while some like slugma are sure animals... majority of this egg group is just ghost or goop, the only non ghost types in this group are Pokemon like Froslass that don't start out as Ghost and the main line dictates the egg group, being fairy and mineral due to Snorunt and Glalie. Also why Gardevoir wasn't in the humanoid group until gen 8 despite Gallade being even more human looking. Hopefully I don't sound rude, just having fun and trying to be informative, to educate, because Pokemon aren't as simple to understand, even when you think you understand them, a lot goes into even the simplest of Pokemon... (squints at Seel out of the corner of the eyes)... most of the time lol.

Considering they have done anime references made into Pokemon (Incineroar and arguably Infernape for example), I could see a water/fighting orca mon based on Gang Orca from MHA. Though I guess like with Tiger Mask to Incineroar, this would probably go from just a man with the face of an Orca, to a bipedal, anthro orca which is the opposite.

Orcas aren't really that cruel, they get most of their bad rap from the nickname 'killer whale', which is horribly misinformative.

I think not being able to draw is actually a pretty good reason to start drawing fakemon. I used to be terrible at drawing, but when I started drawing fakemon I became semi-decent after a while. I went from barely being able to draw to making something I could be proud of, and that's a great feeling. So if it's something you genuinely enjoy doing, keep at it!
