Minigame idea me and my friend used to love playing: There's a small circular platform (radius about 5 blocks) above lava where two players have their spawnpoint. The goal is to kill the other player as many times as possible in a certain timeframe (a scoreboard would be useful to track deaths) either by hitting them into the lava or straight-up killing them. However, you can do parkour above the lava to find buttons which give you different swords based on the parkour difficulty. They teleport you back to the platform when pressed. Getting these swords is risky as your opponent could knock you off. The swords have very low durability (about 1) but they can be strategically crafted together to increase durability. More difficult parkour can lead to a button which enchants your sword with knockback to help you hit your opponent off the platform.

Minigame idea: Blind & Lost: 2+ players. make a 7 layer maze and make it out of obsidian with no lights. There will be two teams, the hunter and a group of players that have to escape the maze by getting on the roof and jumping down onto a landing pad that shoots out fireworks signalling that someone has won. The runners get night vision for 30 seconds by using the /effect command and the hunter gets infinite night vision. When all runners die, the seeker wins. Recommended to play with nametags off.

your server is basicly turning into a FULLY MINI GAMES SERVER

Minigame idea: Me and my friends have this on our world. Make like a 20x75 pool of water, one block deep. On each end in the center make like a 5 block high tower, on top of the tower put a small 1x1 tunnel, around 4-5 blocks long. At the end of the tunnel is a button. Also make walls around the pool. Now on each end OUTSIDE the walls, put a cmd block to give you food, a riptide trident, and to spawn you into the arena. Also put a bed there. Also in the buttons in the tunnel, trigger it to a /kill cmd and a chat msg that says, blue/red wins. Now the point of the game is to use the riptide tridents to launch yourselves into the opponents little tunnel and hit the button before them. They can fight back though using the tridents. You can have unlimited players or even make it so that its 4 teams. You can also add different twists like pufferfish in the water. Obstacles in the water, or trapdoors blocking the tunnels so you have to open them before you can aim for the tunnels. It sounds complicated but its relatively simple. If you have any questions, just ask!

What is you press the button, don't grab the snowballs, and the next time you go to press the button, you get the previous amount of snowballs then press the button again to prime it for the next time you run back.

A mini game i made with my friend is just tig (or tag) but with loads of places to hide and run in and everyone had feather falling diamond boots and a stone sword you can only use the stone sword if your the chaser

Random Minigame Idea: 2 teams of players(each team consisting of up to 4 people) are put in a obsidian room with lanterns for lighting. There is a obsidian net in the center of it and each team has a target block. Each team has to try and hit the opposing teams target block with a snowball to gain a point and when one team reaches 10 points, TNT will drop on the opposing team from a TNT duper, and the enemies only have 1 obsidian block to protect themselves. Also they get the snowballs from a snow golem. The first team to have all people die loose.
