Combining different methods can be a great way to spark back up your creativity and offer your customers something new and interesting. I agree that mixing media is kewl. However, there are ways to use multiple layers of tear away, water soluble - aka less bulky stabilizers in lieu of the one you used. I would so not wear a shirt with that stuff scratching against my bod!

Makes sense. I have several videos on water soluble and the different types of stabilizers as iron on cloud cover. I wanted to focus on mixed media on this particular video. Thank you for your input. Good stuff

I think i would treat that like Appliqué. I would do the stitching 1st then use a pressing pillow to lock in the vinyl. Very cool thing tho keep up the videos.

Nice shirt, but I found the font on #1 busy and hard to read. Something simpler perhaps?

This is nice! I have been doing mixed media for a while now. My question to you is...I have a shirt that is 100%polyester. It keeps puckering when I am embroidering. I am using 2 layers of no show poly mesh and ballpoint needles. Still puckering. If you have any thoughts I would appreciate it. TIA

As you can see my shirt did pucker and pinch in a few areas. To totally get rid of the puckering flip your shirt inside out, spray some temporary spray adhesive to your stabilizer and put it onto your shirt in the area you are embroidering on. Flip it back around hoop your shirt and the fabric will be totally stabilized. I’ve done this using 100 percent poly and it works wonders. Thanks so much for watching Kim.
