Personally, I would've added Dr. Michael Morbius so that he could help to fight Kang. He would says "It's Morbin' Time!" and then Morb all over them just like he did in the Morbius movie

Honestly, a variation the movie that was advertised in the trailers could’ve been one of the best mcu movies. Have it be about only Scott and Cassie getting stuck in the realm. Cassie gets kidnapped by Kang, and Kang makes Scott go back to the normal world and steal a device he needs if Scott wants to keep Cassie save. Kang also offers Scott more time with Cassie, which he lost because of getting stuck in the realm. Scott obviously knows he needs to stay quiet about why, but with the help of the ant-family, they plan a heist. At one point he of course is forced to reveal everything, at which point Janet tells everyone about Kang. They go back to the realm, and use the device as bait. They rescue Cassie and either succeed or get captured. That way the movie could’ve been about personal stakes vs universal stakes, and which takes priority for Scott. It could’ve been one of the most unique movies in the mcu, with one of the most unique and nuanced arcs, and actually would’ve gone back to it’s roots from Ant-Man 1 with the heist. It also would’ve been able to keep all the shrinking and it’s unique visual style.

This was actually great. I loved how you truly dove into Scott’s desire to have more time. I loved the ice cream bit and especially Scott’s time displacement where he feels the lack of connection to his once very close daughter. You handled kang in a more appropriate manner I feel. the one thing I would critique you on would be the inclusion of janet and hope in the quantum realm only for them to kinda sorta not really be there for much of the plot. But regardless it’s an antman story and I really liked what you did here. Great job mate 👍 👏

I'm pretty sure this was supposed to be the B picture for phase 4 but then certain events occurred and things got rearranged and Ant-Man and the Wasp 3 ended up being the intro for phase 5.

I love it. Having the relationship between Scott and Cassie be the central core is perfect. The official movie tries to do that, but it just doesn't quite hit. I'm seeing some comments about Hope and Janet not having much to do in your version, and I'll agree, but the main focus of the story is on Scott and his relationship to Cassie. I also recently just rewatched Quantumania, and again with the audio commentary going, and I liked how it was mentioned that Ant-Man and Wasp are one of the few superhero couples in comics, they generally always work together, and that was mentioned when Hope flies into the core to help Scott in shrinking the core. The problem though is that you do have to find a way to have these characters work in tandem since the second movie was Ant-Man and the Wasp, kind of making that the direction of the franchise going forward when Quanumania is definitely more concerned with Scott's side of the story even though we also bumble around a bunch with Hank and Janet (the other Ant-Man and Wasp) and Hope. So with your version of the movie, is the name the same as the official, or is it Ant-Man: Quantumania, or just Quantumania? And as inaccurate as it may be, I do like the idea of Darren Cross becoming MODOK, it's really more the use of him that's the issue. I think it's a stroke of genius to link to that first movie, but he's just a goon and it's all played for laughs. They actually found a credible reason for MODOK to be in the MCU even though it keeps dipping its toes further into the fantastical, and then he's just a dick because he feels some level of obligation to Kang for fixing him even though he's treated horribly. So if there's a way to work MODOK into your version of the movie, I'd like it, even though you did call back to the first movie with the heist to get the core restored, so it's not a priority. Now back to the accolades, THANK YOU for having Cassie be Peanut. If I'd change one thing, maybe because she has grown up, when she is yelling as Scott saying she isn't a little girl, she also screams, "I'm not your Peanut!" just to really hurt Scott, but then when he calls back to it, she can't help but love the nickname. And just as an aside, in Endgame, it annoys me so much when Scott finds Cassie grown up because he calls her by her name instead of Peanut even though everytime he's ever talked to her in the other movies, he's almost always called her Peanut. That is in my brain, that's what he says in the movie, but no, in Endgame, he actually calls Cassie by her name and it's frustrating. I know it's a very serious moment, but parents have their nicknames for their kids, Peanut, Jellybean, Junior, Sweetie, whatever, and they always use them, even if you've outgrown it, it doesn't matter. So thank you for having a very emotional moment that is relevant to the story and having Scott refer to Cassie as Peanut. ART! 🤌 Your rewrite is so good. I'm sure there's plenty of room for comedic moments that help it be in-line with the other Ant-Man movies, but also not be overbearing like some MCU comedy has been in order for it to stay a darker movie in the franchise. Thank you for the ties to the Falcon and Winter Soldier series, playing with Sam and Scotts relationship for a bit since they have one, and thank you for bringing back in Luίs, hopefully there's some room for Jimmy Wu, too. You're finding the balance man, and it's much appreciated.

That was just fantastic. Most videos of this style simply propose a couple of superficial details or extra cameos. You have fully developed character arcs and storylines. I was genuinely smiling at the peanut line at the end. It would be great to see you do more "fixes" like this to other marvel movies. Maybe Love and Thunder.

This is really great! I love your focus on Scott's arc from a father's perspective (the fear of missing out on time with your loved one is so real and so terrifying and would make the emotional dimension of this movie much more hard-hitting than...whatever it was they were going for?). Kudos to your creativity with this!

overall, 8.7/10 rescript. I love the way you wrote Falcon America into the story, and how you had Luis be the guy in the chair near the end. A few critiques I have: 1) Scott trying to apologize by bringing a sundae comes across as obtuse. A potential fix is having him bring a sorbet instead as a compromise, only for Cassie to reveal she hates sorbet. This set would up how both of them need to grow to repair the relationship, rather than framing it as just being a Scott problem. 2) The relational growth between Janet and Hope needs to be shown not told. Put some scenes of them roughin' it in the quantum realm, maybe make the kang backstory reveal take place during a heart-to-heart scene between the two women. This in turn would make the advice to Cassie much more impactful 3) A bit of personal bias, but I would like it if MODOK stayed in the film. Keep Darren as MODOK, but don't overtly tell the audience (get their theorist wheels spinning). Darren could have forgotten the details of his life before the quantum zone thus preventing him and Scott from recognising each other. At the end of the film, instead of killing him off, set up for him to return to the normal world and save the big reveal for a later movie or series.

THIS WAS SO GOOD!!!! The only change I'd do is give Cassie her proper powers back. In the comics she was Stature and could grow or shrink without a suit due to her interaction with Pim Particles from a young age. It would've been cool to see her develop these abilities by some mishmash of her suit interacting with the quantum realm

It's a good fix, which well it was pretty easy tbh Quantumania, as you said, lacked any theme and arc to really care and gravitate in order to follow and care for the characters. So the emphasis on time being an issue that Scott deals with is good, especially Scott and Cassie's subplot looked like there should be something, but it was just nothing. My only problem with this fix, however, is how you changed to have Janet needing to be saved AGAIN (like basically a repeat of Ant-Man and the Wasp), I think having all of the family be sucked into the Quantum Realm should've been kept (maybe you can Hank stay behind first). Also like how you gave Cassie justification of how she changed since Ant-Man and the Wasp, since we didn't really get any of that and she felt empty and a shell of her former self. Also think you should keep the ending with Scott having the feeling uneasy uncertainty of whether they truly stopped Kang sinceit has that Twilight Zone kind of feel to it. But yeah, nice fix there

DAMN man, what a better pitch/treatment for the third movie of a character so important for the franschise to continue. First of all, the opening scene with Ant-Man and Captain America sounded SO logical while you were telling it. Continuing what the shows were building up to, connecting the universe once again and REMINDING US that SAM WILSON IS CAPTAIN NOW. The theme you are presenting is more fleshed out and on point with the characters of Scott and Casey, that the existing script TRIED to approach. The sequence when Scott faces previous enemies and then facing the variants(with his variants) sounds more interesting , more insane and colourful, tightened to the main theme and the ARC of the hero. Hank suiting up with a classic Ant-Man suit gave me a smile. It's a third Ant-man film, we needed to watch this kind of fan-service instead of fucking, nightmare fuel, MODOK. Great idea and a beautiful treatment, friend. Keep this up Doc. I'm listening!

I don’t know how I feel about the antmen cariants being stepped on, but if kang is just pulling on his strings then I get that. Perhaps the delivery and more fleshed out dialogue will make it better in my mind. Anyway, Luis appearing is mindblowingly exactly what everyone needed. Def in an official capacity he will be inserting some form of humour amidst the chaos that just ensued, perhaps showcasing how he can fit in any scenario or how different it is to be back out of the quantum realm

the fact that Luis and his crew were left out of Quantumania was a crime. They forgot what we really loved about the Antman films

What would’ve been really impactful if Scott and Hope sacrificed themselves to save Cassie, Hank, and Janet and have Kang escape the quantum realm would’ve caused all the heroes to assemble and fight alongside with in Kang Dynasty. This could set the stage for future storylines involving the timelines and the introduction of alternate versions of characters in Kang Dynasty. Also great job on this video👍🏾

My cousin has a fan pitch for the movie. I'll just copy paste it from his Wattpad writing. " It would open with a frame that reads "SHIELD Property" and "Highly Confidential". It cuts to a de-aged Michael Douglas and Michelle Pfeiffer introducing themselves as entomologists and physicists Dr. Hank Pym and Dr. Janet van Dyne. It's a 1970s film presentation on the topic of the quantum realm and its seven layers. Then it cuts to the Marvel Studios logo fanfare. The rest of the movie would be in the lines of 'Innerspace', 'Journey to the Center of the Earth', and 'Fantastic Voyage'. The adventure would happen by accident - Hank and Janet want to explore the quantum realm by themselves, but Hope, Scott, and Cassie got tagged along. They became stuck in one of the layers with their vessel broken. Cassie, in here, is more of an ordinary teenager and she's a lot more prone to freaking out regarding where they end up in. I don't think turning her as an activist and quite well versed in the quantum realm is a development that made sense. Cassie starting out as the Willie Scott-type seems to make more sense to give the setting a more sense of danger, but maybe also a sense of awe. The other characters are already more aware of the place, so it had to be Cassie. And after the place took her father away for five years, it'd also make sense that she'd have a sense of resentment to it. I imagine Emma Furhmann keeping the role, instead of Kathryn Newton. Speaking of the quantum realm, most of the antagonists came from the place itself, precisely its abstract nature. I think having entire civilization in it makes it far less unique. In the actual movie, the civilization itself was never truly fleshed out anyway. Each layers of the quantum realm would present a unique environment that somewhat corresponds to each other (they are layers after all). And with each of the family's breakthroughs to an outer layer, the movie would've cut back to the '70s presentation where past Hank and Janet explain exactly which layer it is they're currently on. This is the part that had me reluctant to flesh this out as a proper story - I simply lack the knowledge and the will to research enough on the quantum realm. Sci-fi is make-believe, but it's not non-sense. The main conflict initially comes from their broken vessel. They need it to escape the quantum realm. Then they come across another person in his own vessel, calling himself Nathan and a fellow "quantum realm traveller". Of course, this is Kang, and he intends to steal the tech on Pym's vessel to make his own escape. At this part of the movie, Kang somehow holds Scott and the Pym family captive, except Cassie. So she has to be the hero, forced to conquer her hatred and fear of the quantum realm and dons the Ant-Man suit Scott's left behind. There's a little caper sequence, paying homage to the other two movies, in which Cassie infiltrates Kang's vessel, freeing Scott and the Pyms, and steal back the tech. The climactic fight would've been between Scott and Hope against Kang. All three would've been somehow sent to the deepest layer. The outcome of that I haven't figured out. MODOK and Lord Krylar are out. The cast and characters are really just that of the Pyms, Scott, Cassie, and Kang. The latter's minions are still faceless, but more robotic and ominous. I think I'm stealing this one from 'The Black Hole'. "

Woow!! That's a remake I would watch!! And worthy of the Avengers Era!

When Scott's past and future realities just coming together, it was freaky cool. Luis cameo is cool too and meaningful, unlike Jimmy Woo's in the actual movie. But I don't like how Cassie is still a Mary Sue and Hope is still in a minimal role.

I truly love this rewrite and agree you did fix it my only gripe, and this is a flaw with all the ant man movies is, the wasp again feels like she’s just there. She’s always been “and the wasp” in most all the movies but still had some character in the first two ant man movies. I would suggest that hope wouldn’t be lost but be on her own quest for more time with her mom that she’s lost once again like Scott lost time with Cassie. Plus the two could feel like a team or a couple and then see how she interacts with Cassie as an aunt or another mom. Then she could become “the wasp” instead of “and the wasp” other than that this is amazing thank you for your hard work!

What about, Cassie actually is fighting, but there is nothing to fight so she is evolving in stupid fight about nothing. Scot, is he do not wanna fight, or he have nothing to fight for? Is he hero on pension, or he have PTSD? Fans will watch half of the movie with such moral problem with out answers. Also mother of Hope, will have PTSD = do not wanna talk about Quantum realm. Modok, he always have needs to be successful, this will be a reason for him to fight against heroes, but also reason to change sides.
