• Cheapest impact driver...
The tool you see in the video is a Lyuwo. I have not tried this conversion on other tools that look like this but have a different brand name. However from experience I can say I am almost certain that Lyuwo, Javn, Pro Stormer etc. That look identical from the outside are also identical on the inside. So pick the cheapest one or the one most convenient to you. This is by no means sponsored by any of these brands! I just wanted to give you an idea for a 3/8 cheap impact wrench. In the USA they have a Hyper Tough 3/8" impact wrench which is about $60 for the tool, battery and charger. That price at the time of publishing this video is around €55. In Europe I have not found such a thing. So I have taken up the task of doing something about it. These impact drivers that came straight from the Marvel / DC universes cost around €35-40 depending on where you are ordering from. Furthermore sometimes they have a sale on them and that can bring them down even further to about €25 as was the case with the one I bought. Links to a couple of these:

*There could be many others as well. Just make sure they look like this and you should be good to go.
After deciding on your favourite colour scheme you need:
- 3/8 anvil
- new bushing for the casing
- bushing for the bottom of the anvil
The anvil I used in the video has this item number - N646882. Modifications to it are easy to perform. Just take off 2mm each side on the base so it fits in the casing. Originally the base of the anvil is 36mm at it's longest and it needs to come down to 32mm. All of this as well as the schematics are shown in the video. It can even be done by hand with a metal file and sandpaper, admittedly a difficult task but can be done. Or if you have a bench grinder you can do it there for about 10 seconds. And you will need a bushing that will go in to the hole at the bottom of the anvil. In order to make the opening smaller, from 8mm down to 6mm. Link to the exact bushing I used provided below. The other bushing is the one in the casing. Ideally get a bushing that has just a slightly larger outside diameter and then attack it viscously with some sandpaper to make it fit in the casing. It should be a very snug fit. No movement of the bushing in the casing at all. If you get a bushing that is the exact size of the opening you risk it being just a bit too loose in there. Ideally the bushing is just a bit over 20mm outside diameter. The best way to make sure it is so is to get a bushing with a 21mm outside diameter and then work it down from there. Even better if you get a bushing that is longer than the original. So that the new anvil has even more support. However that will require some work being done on a lathe. It is good if you can do that but not essential by any means. I am only giving you links to steel bushings, because they are BY FAR the better choice.

Bushing for anvil - 6x8x8mm - www.aliexpress.com/item/10050...
Bushing for casing
20x16x10 - direct fit no work needed, might be too loose in the casing
21x16x10 - will need some work on the outside diameter, you can adjust the fit based on the casing of the tool you have.
21x16x12 (15) - will need a lathe to make it fit the casing, but is a bit longer than the others so possibly less wear.

As always I have provided you with dimensions of the needed parts and modifications. Also where possible I have given the item numbers of parts I used. Please feel free to use this information in order to search for better options be it in terms of convenience or price. The links I provide are just so you can better see what I used. Otherwise I do recommend that you look for a better deal wherever you can!
Total €40 So it is cheaper than the Hyper Tough 3/8" impact wrench, which to my knowledge was up to this point the cheapest 3/8" impact wrench.
Please be advised that the charging time for these tools is about 3-5 hours from a completely empty to a full battery. However that seems to be the name of the game as the Hyper Tough charger that comes with the aforementioned tool also has a charge time of 3-5 hours.
Please let me know how I did and what you think down in the comments!
I appreciate all feedback! Any questions please feel free to ask!

Thank you so much! In the end it dis not turn out how I wanted it to but I promised I would give it a go so I did. However the steel bushing will improve the outcome I am sure and it is on its way to me now. So expect an update!

You get what you'd expect for that price range. Can't really complain tbh.

I think there is a bit more in it to be fair. As I said in the video I feel the bushing is holding it back. A third steel one is on the way I hope it is not lost again. But 100Nm for that price and with a proper bushing that will stand the test of time I still don‘t think is that bad. If you have the parts lying around I think it can be a good tool for something like scooter repair on a budget.

@@BrokeLifeEUAbsolutely. That's why i will never NOT try a budget tool if i get the chance to. Thanks for putting the efforts for us. 👍🏻💯

@@HashV17 You are welcome and I am extremely glad you understand this! Most budget tools are bad, but I still think from a channel like this it will be interesting to examine them. I buy them we have some fun and nobody else spends their money on them. And maybe we find something good. Otherwise we all know you get what you pay for, so you pay a lot you get a decent tool.

@@BrokeLifeEU Indeed. Specially when it comes to home and personal DIY use. This whole Milwaukee vs Dewalt never ending internet fight is ridiculous. I got many budget power tools of Chinese brands no one ever heard of and i still use them without any problem when they are needed.

why not just use a hex bit adaptor?
@BrokeLifeEU
@BrokeLifeEU 2 ай бұрын
A viewer requested it and I did it. Usually the idea behind such a conversion is to not love power through the adaptor. Also a smaller size, because the socket will fit directly. And also adaptors break. I honestly thought it would turn out better than it did... Knowing what I know now I don't know if I would have bothered. But in the end I found it an interesting project so in the end that is what matters I think. Could have turned out to be something brilliant and we would have never known. Unfortunately it is the other way round and now we know it is mostly useless 😂 But I will see if the new steel bushing makes a difference when it arrives. I fully believe it will make a difference but I have ben proven wrong before. So I will make an update when the time is right. Did I somewhat answer your question?

No, in fact it is in my drawer of broken tools waiting for me to get to them in order to make a video on how to fix said tool. Unfortunately in this case part of the gearbox broke so I am looking around for a replacement part.

The 1/2 anvil mod would have more performance?

There will be an update once I get my steel bushing. I ordered a third one. I am pretty sure that we can get a lot more out of this with the steel bushing. Now I feel half the power is bouncing it around. It was good for the first couple of bolts but then brass started flying everywhere and it could not do much after that.

The 1/2“ anvil can‘t be made to fit. Only this 3/8“ can be made to fit the casing and impact mechanism. The 1/2“ is impossible.

On my B3 mod, with brass self-lubricated bushing no problems, should i be worry? @@BrokeLifeEU
@BrokeLifeEU
@BrokeLifeEU 2 ай бұрын
On the B3 no. The bushing there is thick enough. Because the ID=16mm and the OD=22mm. Whereas for the conversion in the video ID=16mm, OD=20mm and the bushing was not a tight fit in the casing. It started to turn in the casing and so it was being hammered once from the anvil and then it was being spun in the casing. It is not a good fit in this case, because it is too thin and deforms easily. In the Parkside B3 conversion the brass bushing is thick enough and can sustain much greater loads with no deformation. My first B3 that I converted what seems like 2 years ago is still going strong with the brass bushing inside. And it is being used a coupe of times per week. So on the Parkside conversions there is nothing to worry about.
