Please don't forget that manually leveling towers will increase their damage against specific types. 1 tower upgraded enough can do the damage of 10 towers for less gold than 10 towers.

I have been watching people play this and I think of the main thing most people do is upgraded each individual tower. That would help out a lot in general as it does in any tower game lol

Quantity is not the solution always, you want to put some cheap towers by houses sure, but you want some upgraded single units and the quality > Quantity upgrade so they can crit like crazy. A bunch of base value towers will do basically nothing after a while. So make sure you build your economy while you can with the towns.

Also, surround the houses on the map as they boost your money each round. The grave stones have haunted houses next to them to tax the dead for more money. They go use mana however, so it is a balancing act to get them working. You can also use the encampments and stack them up for landmines.

I bought this game after watching some of these videos and it's a great game, but having played it for close to 100 hours I now find it hard to watch these videos due to the massive miss plays! (use the damn houses to earn money it generates a massive amount of money over time) Frost towers are also rather terrible because of how they work. They have a hit system similar to how the ballistas fire every so often and do not do damage to enemies that run thought its area of effect quickly (they also seem to hit a limited amount of targets).

The video is great and i didn't even watch 1 minute of it but its great i swear 👍🏻

if you put towers next to houses you get gold from each house equivalent to the level you just completed time the number of towers surrounding the house so each house could potentially give you four time s the level in gold at the end of the level that can really stack up just a quick tip

If you're gonna spam balista, put them near houses for extra income.

Another tip I have: your Ranking of tower positions should go something like this: 1. Spots next to houses 2. The high ground 3. Lower ground 4. Spots needed by diffrent buildings (Mana Siphons, Haunted Houses or Universities) + Encampments and frost Towers work slightly diffrently. Put them in positions with maximum track coverage, to maximize their Rate of fire. Put them not on track splits, but on Track curves instead. + the mural Towers are always higher than the hills.

this game gets intense really quickly, but the sounds of the saws and flame towers in massive numbers is strangely soothing!

Hey DF, something I've learned from my many hours of playing TD games is that quality is better than quantity in most cases. Always upgrade your towers rather than place a whole new one! You can upgrade a tower multiple times and get more specialized damage out of it, AND more than double the damage of the base tower for the price of placing a new tower! Also, while the Tesla's might specialize in taking out shields, left un-upgraded they are only dealing 16 damage to shields, you should consider upgrading them yourself to deal tons more damage, as they benefit more from shield damage upgrades. PS: the tower costs go up for every single tower you place, so eventually it becomes even MORE worth while to upgrade them!

With the appropriate upgrade, that you get after waves, you can make a Particle Cannon pretty much reach the whole map. It uses a lot of mana but once it starts getting a lot of levels it becomes really powerful and if you have a few of those, most mobs are dying before the get out of their gates.

This was one hell of a run my dude . Mortars are goated .. Def need the DOTs on them because that’s when they become legit game changers . Keep grinding out these videos !!

I finished this game. Tips Focus entirely on mana in the beginning of the game. Take every upgrade about mana over other things. Place as many ballistas around houses. They give a lot of money in late game. Focus on manual upgrading buildings more than putting more on the map. Place one obelisk near your tower in late game. The best tower are radar, shredder, flame, poison, Tesla. Place freese towers carefully to slow enemies before they reach a bottle neck. Place as many radars as can those planes vaporise bosses. Place a lot of flame and poison and Tesla near a bottle neck. Have at least three bottle neck with distance from each other. Place as many mana banks as you can.

The guys that first got through your defenses regen 100 shields per second, setting poison towers and flame towers by themselves more towards their start will prevent any sort of regen, except for shredders. Shredders put near your tower so the saw blade can cause more damage. When you make a tower target a certain HP type, they will level up against that type. For example, a ballista targeting shields will, eventually, have their damage multiplier increased by 1. You can also see this when you click on any tower in the upgrade box thingy. This same concept goes for teslas and frost towers. Nonetheless, love your vids! And I hope to see a vid about defeating Big Brain Oogie!

Something I didn't find out until recently. you can put towers on those castles that sow up in the late game and they're worth like +3 on top of whatever terrain they're on, so its possible to get +4, +5 +6

Great video. You should use mana banks on the lowlands. Height doesn't effect them. Also, look for those university spots. You had one after that three way split. When down they have a chance, based on how much you put into them, of giving flat multipliers to your towers. It's like upgrading all your towers for less cost. Good stuff. And lastly those castle things can be built on. They are extra height, a four to six.

The poison sprayers are good if you build them early, they melt shields pretty quickly on the early stages and poison effects are nutty. You can unlock cards for you batista that give 25% burn/bleed/poison too

Just a suggestion but if you add more firepower at the start of your Tower so that way when the creatures come you can get more health down.

Something else to watch for: adding Bleed, Fire, and Poison to basic ballistas make them good against Health, Armor, and Shield respectively. Poison and lightning hits shields harder at base, too. Shields are the toughest obstacles late game so build for Shield damage early!

Just a heads up, the castle (turrets) looking objects dispersed throughout the map can be built on for pretty decent + damage and range, even moreso if said turrets are on higher elevation.

I get the impression flame-turrets work best at the end of straight-a-ways so they don't pivot and loose their bead on the line of enemies; but the buzz saws could be back enough to sweep through consecutive waves of enemy buildup.

Slight tip:make the mortars in clusters because the range is so big that the placement barely matters. (Mortars are really good against multiple and solo enemies) also only put tesla coils in intersections rather than one ways but in general flamethrower and frost tower can be used im both one way and intersections plus flamethrower and frost tower has better damage and fire rate.

You can place things on the wooden towers that start appearing in the 30's. It counts as a +4 or +5 which give nice big buffs.

shift click allows you to place another of the same tower height level only matters for firing distance (for weapons). They don't do anything for banks etc except tell you what level you're on.

Poison sprayers are flamethrowers but for shields and are also a good general unit, stupid high attack and levels increase base attack with the sections just increasing multipliers meaning a base of 22 with a 14 in health would do over 300 damage per hit

Fun fact. Tesla towers are OP... thought you might like to know that. Just keep upgrading its damage in equal amounts and on a single track you only need 1.

Hey DF, there is a mod you can download to get a speed up button. Not sure if you want that but it will make everything go faster so rounds don’t take as long to finish. Hope this helps!

The flame thrower did the most probably because the perk you got that allowed it to do more damage when enemies are slowed.. it helped a lot it seemed

I've found its best to stick with less tower types, and then focus on tower upgrade cards. Several towers can inflict burn/bleed/poison all at the same time with card upgrades. Makes a huge difference.

DF you know you can upgrade. When you click on a tower the numbers on the right are upgrades to the different types of damage

And I’ve been playing for quite some time and I’m on their discord holding a few the more difficult to achieve achievement at the start of the game you wanna surround any houses with blisters you could potentially gain almost double your income by doing this also you don’t wanna Tesla coil on a small bend only on a large corner otherwise it’s just too great of a diminishing return on your Mana. My last piece of advice because I don’t wanna sound like I’m backseat gaming if you set a first priority set a second priority otherwise you’ll have multiple towers just trying to attack the front guy for progress and you’ll have what’s called attack cancel where one guy will kill that person but three other towers were also attacking it so those attacks go nowhere but you still have to wait for the attack animation to finish before it can attack another enemy

As many have stated, leveling is super important, but also, what a lot of people ignore is that you should REALLY sell more often, especially since turrets provide full refund on buy-sell no matter what. Only thing you lose out on is the levels which isn't much if the towers are in an awkward position, especially later on. Repositioning and leveling trivialises a game like this.

Has nobody told you that putting ballistas around the houses gains you more money? As long as he ballista is touching the house and on the same level, you get more money

Good attempt. I think you have a close to zero percent chance of survival in this game if you don't have all three DoT types (the level upgrades you had make DoT's do their damage quicker but don't apply any dot damage) and the reason is that mobs regenerate their bars unless the appropriate DoT is on them (bleed for Health, burn for armor, poison for shields). Entertaining video as per usual!

I'm wondering why you didn't put anything on the keeps that spawned in the northern corner. The multipliers are height plus extra, some can get as high as +6 and you were putting mortars NEXT to them but not ON them.
