22:30 There was no risk for Mach Punch. Raging Fury works like Outrage - the user is locked to using it 2-3 turns and then gets confusion.

I love Umbreon so much, I know everyone uses its as a supportive tank but its one of those Pokemon that can just do the weirdest stuff if you want. I've done curse with payback back in the day and even did a calm mind set that fights with stuff like dark pulse or psychic.

19:20 Sacred Sword actually ignores the target's stat changes, so putting up more curses wouldn't have done anything and the same damage would have been dealt regardless. Tera Fairy was the right move.

Great battles! Loved to see some older Pokemon shine; Ambipom and Umbreon felt like game changers in the competitive world back in the day. Ambipom's guaranteed flinches were great for set ups and stalling in double battles and really brought anti-flinch builds to the forefront. Umbreon's Curse + Quick Attack combination used to devastate and I feel like it's probably the reason Taunt really got popular lol.

I beg to differ sir , starting in gen 4 I ran an umbreon with curse, payback, sucker punch and snatch with leftovers/ blackglasses . To this day is my favorite version of umbreon to run. Stops set up and is very hard to kill once a couple curses happen. It won me many matches once I could dispatch of any fighting types

Love the videos! I recommend messing around with a sun team with chlorophyll, life orb, Leafeon with Solar Blade. Been using that lately and having a blast with it!

Nice! I used to use the Curse set, absolutely! Its always a nice Defensive mon! I went with Curse + Payback, Moonlight & Toxic! Of c, Umbreon lost Toxic, but there's plenty of other options! It definitely doesn't see as much Stall as it used to but it is still putting in some solid work!

This was cool to see. I started running curse Umbreon back in hgss: curse, suckerpunch, moonlight, payback. Losing suckerpunch because of the SV moveset resets made me have to attempt a retech since suckerpunch is a hgss move tutor exclusive. Tried poison tera which was nice in dodging toxics, however i like this set quite a bit more

umbreon is my main go to hitter and tank on my team, i usually use the shell bell item for umbreon to easily recover most of the damage umbreon just took along with curse buff.. i think the downside is it's prone to switch out target moves 😮‍💨

Fun Fact: If you would really put in the effort, you could get an Umbreon with Knock Off in Gen 4 thanks to Move Tutors and then transfer it to the newer Gens (excluding Gen 9 because of Pokémon Home resetting the learnsets)

So long as Umbreon isn’t Tera Ghost, the only Cursed thing is having a much slower reaction speed, to increase Attack & Defense, as good thing the Pumpkaboo line aren’t in SV (Generation IX).
