Since you don’t have f:d, I’ll brief you up on it. At its peak, f:d is objectively the best performance tip, no debate. This is because of its ability to get relatively consistent combo attacks by taking control of the center, forcing other beys to take the outside, and when final drive kicks in, it accelerates around the stadium & will pick up a hit on the edge. The reason this can be better than say, the rf series of tips is because those try to knock beys out with individual strikes, which always gives the defending bey time to return to the center. This basically resets the fight, except that the bey with rf has less stamina from a whiffed attack. The only reasons, however, that f:d isn’t that good in general are that: 1. The combo attack will only hit if the bey with f:d takes the center, if it doesn’t, that’s a near-automatic loss. 2. F:d is tall compared to most competitive spin tracks, so low height spin stealers can extreme hard counter it. It can still get knock outs on them, it’s just significantly rarer. 3. By the time f:d switches to attack mode, the bey is already low on stamina, so you don’t get the effect of an extreme rubber flat, but more like a skinny rubber flat (like hunter from burst). It lacks power and relies heavily on the combo attack which as I stated in #1, is not always achievable. F:d has the potential to beat any other bey when it gets a good barrage hit, but otherwise, it lacks a concrete counter to other beys. To solve this problem, I’d probably pair it with a metal face bolt. The added weight will help it take the center, which will make problem #1 not as bad. Otherwise, the other parts are switchable. Here are a few of my favorites. Diablo aquario: The extra weight helps nearly completely get rid of problem #1. Also pretty high recoil, so helps a bit with problem #3. Variares: The dual spin helps counter problem #2. Flash unicorno: You were onto the right idea using flash. It helps with problem #3. I like using unicorno because the 3 winged shape makes it slightly unbalanced. In theory it should help with knockouts although it could also randomly make it worse. Haven’t seen any noticeable performance changes with switching energy rings, but it doesn’t hurt to try. It also works well with the zero-g system, but I’m not going to go into depth with that.
