Resident Evil 4 is a 2023 survival horror game developed and published by Capcom. I like that its his OG knife too. Its cool that the combat knife is the one Marvin gave him but I feel he would have upgraded like he did with Matilda to SG-09R so I run nothing but the primal now.

@@eloelo6944 I can agree, its just my preference. I don't see the big difference in having an unbreakable knife and a knife that breaks but every 20 or so minutes I can repair it before it does for next to no pesetas, especially if you have the 30% off charm.

@@yugii1875 the knife is useless against basic enemies in the og, only good on Krauser whereas in the remake you can actually fight groups of enemies knife only, I usually do it when I’m saving up on ammo

Knife is useful against Regenerators in the OG and helps you conserve ammo in the early parts of the professional and combining it with ditman glitch makes is broken.

Primal knife trumps everything. The regular knife is something you enjoy on your first but on later playthroughs you pretty much replace it.

I still enjoy the normal knife for rapid shanking a bunch of things. Primal knife is great, but smth abt stabbing Krauser 7 times before he even reacts is so satisfying

Krauser’s knife is far better. Once you get to NG+, paying for knife repairs is meaningless, especially if you have the charm. Primal knife is cool, but I never really need the infinite durability. It would only be useful if you get grabbed all the time, which at that point, git gud.

@@cl86241 you’re underestimating perfect parries my friend, they will make you clear encounters much faster and easier if you master them

@@Copperscaled what makes you think I’m underestimating perfect parries? If anything, perfect parties only cements my point further because they take less durability. Even still, you’re bad at the game if you’re constantly having to parry (unless you’re getting close with the intention of doing some melee playthrough or something). For normal play, Krauser’s knife still reigns supreme for NG+ since repairing is a non-issue.

I kinda miss the melee of RE6 I mean, cool that you can stab dudes but nothing beats running up to an undead fucker and decking him with luchador moves

Use the fighting knife against Krauser, makes him super easy to fight close quarters.

I increased its durability and use kitchen knives whenever I can to save the durability for tougher fights

Durability is all that really Matters with the knife imo max the riot gun and really any of the pistols and I only make sg shells

the full + exclusive upgrade of the fighting knife can kill ganados in one stab on assisted/normal difficulty.

Wasn't a big fan of the breakable knife at first and I'm still not, but it is a fantastic addition to the game. The amount of ammo I've saved is amazing and the security it has brought me so far was also extremely helpful

Yeah, try it on professional after castle you could run up with the upgraded combat and they’ll tank six knives to the face and hit you with a ball and chain mace

They made upgrading the knife to expensive and never heard a combat knife that breaks so much if it’s made out of plastic.

Knife doesn't seem very much worth to use for the offensive because it will eventually break, I think the best is to only upgrade the durability to the max so you can have a better defense
