I’ve often thought bonehead and Izzy straddlin were one in the same . 2 iconic founding members that once they left , the band just were never the same.

And whilst we’re talking in that ballpoint, both those bands original drummers were fired, after their first albums, which were classics, and although they were replaced with technically better drummers, they lost a lot of the feel from the first album and never got it back.

@@richardmoores definitely agree with regards to Adler. There’s obviously some great drum parts on Definitely Maybe: Bring It On Down, Supersonic, etc. Not sure how much that is down to Tony or whether Noel came up with it all

@@cs0rpc I'm a drummer and tbh, almost all drum parts on Definetly Maybe are what a guitarist writing a drum part sounds like. 4 on the floor all the way, minimal fills, only cymbal crashes and the occasional break. Doing that gives the guitar more space of course, sometimes the right choice (like with ACDC) sometimes it can get a bit boring. Not to take anything away from Tony McCarroll though...

Where I live in the United States Noel tends to play a lot of smaller venues and he can get away with it because he's not as famous/popular here so I got to meet him before a show once and not only that, but he signed autographs for me and everyone in line and the video is on KZfaq (I believe it was at House of Blues in Cleveland, Ohio). Also met Liam's band and manager at the time while waiting outside the venue in Chicago for one of his solo shows in 2017 I believe. They spent a couple hours in a coffee shop across the street from the venue, and his manager at the time (not Debbie Gwyther) was super kind and walked up and asked myself and another obsessed fan if we were getting too cold waiting outside the venue in the snow and told us that Liam would probably not be signing or meeting fans before the show that night and she was right. Liam arrived in his car literally a minute before walking on stage haha. If you're in the US and want to try to meet the Gallagher brothers, I would advise to get there really early (probably around noon even) and don't get your hopes up as those guys are unpredictable as ever, but something special could happen! I've met many artists this way. Hopefully you'll get to meet some other band members one day, and bring your band and music across the pond as they say!

Confirmed true here in the states, Noel walked right past everyone to the back of the line in NYC when we met him. Security probably confirmed there was a really nice drunk, adoring, aging fan who wants his signature :D He also moved fans from the nose bleeds towards the front, sad part is it didn't matter, the fans barely had a pulse to begin with. (Leaned over to my spouse when looking at the crowd and said I'm embarrassed on behalf of fans in America, this crowd would never happen overseas, thats part of why I stopped playing music live).

It does make me laugh that Bonehead has become a Star in the Oasis legacy since the split, mostly since the Supersonic film release. In the 2000’s he was completely forgotten about and almost erased. The public are fickle

Bonehead really stepped up Liam's band since he's joined, the general consensus was Bonehead played stuff any 15 year old learning guitar could and Gem was the superior guitarist, but without Bonehead you don't have that thick wall of saturated crunchy guitar.

Excellent video. And it may have just my ears, but I detected a sense hushed reverence when you entered and we're exploring the memorabilia. It wasn't quite a Sunday morning church after a night of drinking, quite respect. But to me it added a lot to video because you are obviously a mega Oasis fan. And I think had been any other band that had a shop like I would have rolled my eyes. But Oasis can get away damn near anything.

I went to the original small Microdot in the centre of Kendal last year. A really cool place but it took me a while to find it as was literally tucked up a side alleyway and only signposted from one end of the alley (Sod’s law I came from the end that wasn’t signposted). Was well worth the visit though and Brian came out of the back room/office had a chat with me and also some photo’s with him next to Bonehead’s fireplace (even coming out with the stand up beside the fireplace line as we were doing the photo’s). Him and his wife were really nice. I’ll be heading back to look at the new larger premises.

Throw an Epiphone Riviera on the man, get Guigsy, dye his hair a bit, throw a pair of Ray-Bans & a Fender Precision Bass on the fella, & then, of course, get them two Gallagher Brothers & Whitey back on the kit.... Viola! And make damn sure that reunion hits AT LEAST Madison Square Garden in NYC, EagleBank Arena in D.C, Credit Union 1 Arena in Chi-Town, & The Hollywood Bowl in L.A, damnit!

I met him in 1998 and I've had a short but friendly chat before the show.I asked him to sign my ticket and then he refused giving me some weird excuses,which was quite disappointing to me.But at least I have Noel's autograph and he didn't give me any type of excuses or stupid reasons not to sign it.Anyway,I wish Bonehead a quick recover...

I met Noel Gallagher back in 2016 when he had a gig here in Zagreb and had my epiphone signed by him. Although it’s a e-acoustic model ej200-ce worth about 400£, how much would cost as an originally signed by Noel?

Lol no, much as I would love to interview him, I didn't even ask. He's still Liam's guitarist, and must get sick of people asking him for stuff. So I just wanted to meet him, shake his hand, and that was it. I don't want to be a taker - want to make sure as I get to know more people in the industry that I show them respect as human beings, and don't just try to get stuff out of them... Maybe one day we'll get the chance to have a sit down chat for the channel, but only if he ever fancies it.

In all honesty... no. He's still the guitarist for the biggest rockstar in the country and gets bombarded with people asking him for stuff all the time. So I just wanted to meet him, shake his hand, and that was it. It would be great to get to chat more with him in future, but I want to treat him like a human being not a 'resource' if you know what I mean.
