I'm born and bred UK. I would say that the people that came to UK in 60s to 80s did ok. They did not sell their lands or houses to come here. Now, it is very difficult even for those that were born here. My children are very educated but have huge student loans and pay a lot of tax. The roads are crumbling, the NHS is finished. Life is becoming very tough here. On top of that, it rains ALL the time. Very depressing. My son wants to move to the middle east and I am thinking of going to Pakistan for the winters. Honestly, try to stay in Pakistan if you can. Work hard and Allah Subhanahutala will bless your life. I have cousins in Pakistan that are earning 5 to 9 lakhs per month as they have worked very hard. They have a great life.

student loans,mortgages , credit cards all interest bearing transactions are haram and riba is cursed this is the reasons , inspite if everyrhing we dont have barakah and our children will bear the consequence Sincere repentance and coming out from riba could ease our difficulties otherwise there is lot to go through yet hunger / starvation !

@@kongposh2747 In Shaa Allah Firstly , very important thing is to purify our intention of moving out , should be for sake of Allah SWT, not just coming out from depressing country as one can end in another depressing country .. come out from mortgages / riba if you have any by either selling properties , or any other means .., I know it’s difficult when one has a family and we have to persuade our spouses / children / siblings / parents therefore make dua that Allah SWT give us wisdom to persuade them and give them eyes to see the REALITY of this delusional life Allah SWT when sent Adam to this earth , He said im making you my Khalifah .. meaning the one who lives life according to God’s commandments , according to God’s laws, rules and regulations . This applies to all the children of Adam and Eve we all were meant to be Khalifah of Our creator on this earth , but Allah warned us of our sever enemy Iblis / shaytaan that he will misguide you every step of your lives ,, this is why we should take our prophet Muhammad ﷺ life as a guide and follow his footsteps but unfortunately we started following footsteps of modern western civilisation which in itself is creation of shaytaan . So moving away from modern western civilisation and moving on the path of our prophets is the way to success I wish you all the best , may almighty make difficult situation easy for all especially for those who are in war zones and facing hunger / starvation and much more than we can imagine .

What Saqib bhai is not fully explaining is that once your kids are here after they have paid millions in fees and to universities the system in the UK is cleverly designed to keep them hand to mouth. They will never or seldom be able to become home owners now as the good times are over. They will get low wage jobs despite having a degree and will be paying the Home OFFICE fees for years, paying high rents for life, will enjoy no holidays or quality of life and be taxed on everything. The system is gamed to make you subservient and begging for more shifts from your employer as zero hour contracts mean you sometimes dont know what you will be earning next week. You cannot compare to the Mirpuris who came here in 1960 as they have died and in their life time 1960-1990 many of them bought multiple homes at cheap prices like £15000 and rented them out. Now the same houses are worth £120k plus in the northern cheaper towns (not London) which means the youth or 4th generation have no worry of housing costs as the houses have passed down to them from their forefathers, new arrivals will NEVER have that luxury. These 4th generation mirpuri/kashmiri lot now dont want to come to Mirpur to see family as their grandad did as they have little connection and no attachment with Pakistan, most prefer to holiday in Cuba, Mexico, Rio or Atlanta and avoid landing in Islamabad. The window of opportunity for new comers I feel closed a good 20 years ago.

The mirpuris are not as wealthy as their grandparents or parents were . Due to having large families or having multiple wives when those assets are shared then the children do not get much !!! The areas which are largely mirpuri dominated are run down areas !!!. The next generation of mirpuri men do not have the same attitude towards hard work . They want easy and quick money so have become involved in crime . Fraud , drugs and scams .

Our religion is not set of worship but a code of life , we can’t take houses on mortgages or get involved in any sort riba , we can’t send our children’s where there is a big promotion of lgbt ideologies , we can’t pay our taxes for them to use against our own brothers / sisters .. in reality there is No Islam in U.K. or anywhere in the world .. If there is no bread in super market what good will be their wealth In reality we human beings only need food and water to survive not technology/ cars / gadgets . You need to check if your degree is recognised in the UK. There's a body called NARIC in the UK who will assess the equivalence of your degree. This is the first step. If your degree isn't recognised ask NARIC what you need to do to upgrade it. You need a PGCE in your chosen subject (Maths or Physics). Then you will qualify for QTS. The rest is getting a job and work permit. There's a big demand for Maths and Physics teacher. This is much as I know of. I don't work as a teacher although I'm qualified to teach English as a Foreign language for both young and adults. Hope this helps. @ohadrazakhan6785
@saheb3027

For PGCE it's better if you do it in the UK. I know the cost of a PGCE here for overseas students can be high. As Maths and Physics is in great demand it will pay off in the future. There's another method called School Centered Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) scheme run by many secondary schools. You apply to a school that run this scheme in your chosen subject. You teach and study for a PGCE as well and once you pass you get QTS. This is much harder as you are in a way thrown in the deep end to teach and study for a PGCE in 12 months. Please check if as an overseas student you can qualify for the SCITT scheme as they give a good grant to British citizens. Please don't be disheartened or discouraged. That's the best I can advise you about Teaching.

I am 18 years old and will be moving to the UK in the upcoming semester to study Bachelor's in Computer Science (BCS) at Leeds Beckett University. I am a bright student and come from a middle class or relatively upper class joint family background. We are businessmen based here in Lahore. However, I am not interested in our family businesses nor do I feel connected to our culture. I dislike our education system as well. I aspire to be an independent individual in a country where I won't be judged by anyone from my family. I am prepared to face hardships and struggles in order to become one of the most financially successful individuals in Pakistan or of Pakistani background. My ultimate goal is to study abroad, work for multinational tech companies, and eventually establish my own tech company, which I aim to make the first legally recognized unicorn company in Pakistan. I am determined to make my dreams a reality and am passionate about achieving them.

More than economic issues, there are major spiritual issues living in the West. We already have too many desperate people in Pakistan who wish to move to the West to party and be "free." Just know that a culture that allows and encourages partying and decadence will turn you into a degenerate. That is if you care about your akhirat. If you are a young married couple with small children, say goodbye to a lot of your children's Islamic ettiquettes and sensibilities, because in public school they will be pick up all the negative aspects of western culture, which are already so prevalent in young children in the West. The only way you can survive spiritually is if you make a conscious long term effort to give proper Islamic environment to your kids by living near a masjid and going there often with the kids and discussing social ills of the west and why it's better to be a devout Muslim. It's very tricky to maintain your deen for the next generations. As an adult moving, you might be fine if you are devoted to your deen, thanks to your upbringing in Pakistan, but your kids and their kids are another story. Pakistan has its issues but you have to accept the positives.

UK has had economic ups and downs but the success ratio potential is quite better than most of the eastern countries. I have come to the UK in December 1997 and I believe it’s not just about the money, it’s about the quality life and fairness. Here in the UK you don’t need to worry about many things like the food you are getting. If you are a hard worker, you can make a good living and afford more things than you can in Pakistan and India. Yes, I understand it’s tough for Students and those who aren’t allowed to work.

In my opinion, the main barrier stopping migrants from reaching higher positions in management or securing better jobs is their inadequate education from Pakistan, lack of practical skills, and most importantly, a mismatch between their career goals and the degrees they pursue. If our students have strong technical abilities, study subjects that align with their career goals, and keep up with what's happening in the job market, they'll have a better chance of finding well-paying opportunities. However, I agree that many people prioritize hard work over smart strategies, often trying to leave the country by investing money and working tirelessly, which leads to many challenges and no guarantee of success elsewhere. For those planning to move abroad, my suggestion is to recognize that other countries are more advanced in many aspects of life. Therefore, it's essential not just to pursue education for the sake of it but also to build skills, knowledge, and the right mindset to achieve your desired status.

Don't forget Mr Saqib said, "come and see it for yourself." But he is trying to warn you that you will face difficulties. What he is saying is 100% factual. We live here, and we see people coming to the UK from Pakistan after spending their or their parents' hard-earned money, just to realize what Uncle mentions in the podcast. Furthermore, for those who spend between 5 to 10 million PKR to come here with the mindset that they will earn this back and make much more are clearly lost in their head. Because if you don't have a mindset of establishing a business with that kind of money in Pakistan, then the UK is certainly not for you.

I'm a british Pakistani and my mum is also from Pakistan but was brought up in UK. My dad was brought up in Pakistan and came to UK and had his own authentic experience of work, seeing messed up people, and not feeling like he is in the Muslim environment he is comfortable in is what made him wanna shift us to UAE. And we did that then because of some personal issues we had to shift back to UK again until we could afford to shift again but this time we shifted to Oman. And I'm really happy, comfortable and safe here. My mum and dad never wanted their children to be brought up in UK even though that's where we are from but it was still worth moving in the end.

Taxi maybe pays better if you are in your first job. After 10 years, PHD could be earning twice compared to a taxi driver with the same effort. I was dumb in pakistan spent 16 years in the education here but those years which I spent in UK was excellent snd those 3 years were awesome for my personal knowledge and I learnt how to face challenges and survive in the world. My family gave me 6000 gbp to study in UK, I earned a degree, worked there as a receptionist in a hotel near London Victoria. I will say 100 times to the young generation to go to UK and don't bother wasting your time in pakistan. I was not from elite class my schooling was 3rd class in pakistan but I can speak anywhere with anyone with lot of confidence. This person is misleading others and I found these kind of people when I was in UK they told me i must go back to pakistan why i come here there is no future in UK. Totally agree with you, it's the same here in the USA. We see many uneducated folks from Pakistan, India, and other countries facing similar struggles. Education really is the key. Whether it's a BS in CS, Engineering, Biology, or any other field, or even skilled trades, those qualifications can open doors to great financial opportunities. Sadly, without education or skills, it's incredibly tough for immigrants to break out of poverty. It's a stark reality that highlights the importance of education and skill development.

Americans are literally a migrant nation. First from the British, then Irish, Japanese, Italians and now Chinese, Indians and Pakistanis. Lol. The reason why America is the biggest motherfucking economy of the world + the largest military complex is that it takes the worlds best and gives them a cut throat environment to thrive. The difference between America and us is that it allows for whoever can solve the problem to become rich. Pakistan doesn’t. The difference between America and European countries is that European power is primarily dependent on a historic imperial hegemony that helped them to sustain a powerful empire view and sustain their competitive advantages. The missing context of this podcast was that it didn’t talk about the real people that leave. Those that go to LSE and end up as VPs of Goldman , HSBC etc at 28. The people that end up working at Meta or founding Motive as Pakistani Americans. The context of the conversation should be different. To go abroad and take advantage of the opportunity these countries provide. To become millionaires and create impactful companies that take over the world.

@@user-rt6jj8lj6g The question isn't about evading the Bhutto's or the Sharif's progeny. In the larger scheme of things they are miniscule, immaterial, insignificant. What you or anyone else pondering leaving now needs to realize is that you are willing to abandon your fellow countrymen, leave them to the dogs, let the dream of Pakistan die, let those who weren't born in privilege rot. You and I will have to answer for the place we were born into. It's a difficult thing to admit. We have a good 3 generations that have failed to standup. Because there's a pressure outlet of emigrating. No one wants to stay and fight for their rights, we have a chronic darpouk syndrome.

Life is not as it seems in the UK it’s always the grass is greener the other side. Growth of Pakistan is not negative, it is very slow and once the issue of army intervention in civilian affairs is resolved the growth will be skyrocketed.
