Tips for affording to live in SF?? I visited in October and I had the same kind of experience Lexie had in NYC; the "OMG I love it here I belong here I need to BE here" type of thing

Hailey Pea I live in the east bay with my parents so I'm rent free Atm.... rent anywhere is $2500 and up. The bay is amazing but you have to have a really good income... like $23^ if you want your own apartment. But the weather is pretty much the same all year round which is nice and it's super diverse and liberal which I love! Hope this helps!

hey! i live in sf and pay around $950 for rent in a shared apartment with 3 other girls. its definitely doable if you have a decent paying job (minimum wage here is also $13 i want to say) and plenty of people on craigslist are looking for submitters/room sharing. best of luck!

Living in NY is ridiculously expensive and hard, landlords and realtors expect so much from you. If you aren't opposed to it then look into apartments in NJ, my brother just moved into an apartment beside the Prudential Center in Newark so it's not a bad area, the train station is a block away, and it's only a 20 minute ride into NYC.
