Good food choices. It is also good to know how to hunt and prepare food after a kill. I like the wrist rocket and air rifle idea ,both can kill small game and make a lot less noise compared to a real gun

+Amra Survival also i lean more towards steel traps for long term because in most cases you only get one use out of a snare cable.

Nice video my friend, I have to say while im not a beleiver in the INCH bag concept because i will be coming home, unless my home is wiped off the face of this earth, then i will rethink my options, while it may be to late, Let me add that here in the Panhandle Hunting is tough, The terrain in some areas is extreme, It is what people dont see from the road as they are driving, The plataues and the deep canyons, Whitetail at least in may are are a rough hunt, Mule deer even more elusive but they are here, Pronghorn are abundet but move in packs and can be tough to pinpoint, Small game Turkey, rabbit, coyotee , Throw winter in the mix and life just became 10x more diificult for most, Here shooting long distance is a learned skill which makes the hunt even more difficult, Believe me i have had many missed opportunitys, Living on the planes would mean learning to build a duggout as our fore fathers did whe this land settled. Thanks just throwing that out there. Trees are far and few.

I have the same mindset brother, my first choice will always be to "bug in" with my family, we are set up to do so, and the area we live is abundant with rich farmland, woods, plenty of water and wildlife. and those are several big reasons why we live here, that being said I understand where you are coming from, certain areas will require different skills to survive. but the way you just described your area, it doesn't seem very adept to "survive" in a bug/shtf scenario. much less thrive. I think people need to think about that as part of there preparing as well. Thanks for the comment my friend always appreciated.

Yes sir it is tough living here, Until seven years ago never really knew how tough, But you learn to adapt. I can scoot my way over to Oklahoma which i do quit offten especially to fish, The landscape is crazy here Flat, Drive 1 mile into Oklahoma and a dramatic change , you have to see it to believe it.

adapt and overcome, definatly. thats one thing i left out of this video was fishing gear, mainly for time constraints, but definatly a skill to be relied upon. it is pretty in some areas down hat way, i have driven through that "general area" once or twice. the main thing is as long as your able to provide for your family and life well. thats all that counts.

I agree %100 steve, there are so many things I left out of this part of the INCH bag, just because I'm trying to contain it all in one reasonable size pack. but I definatly agree with salt, and several other multipurpose spices, Thanks for staying tuned in to the videos bro! and I always enjoy your comments. very much appreciated.

Amra Survival every pack seems like something gets sacraficed. It also depends on your location and enviorment. Thanks for the comment!

Once your food has all gone that you carry ,your plan is to eat wild food (game & wild plants )am i right ? If you plan to live indefinitely (I.N.C.H, if your never coming home ) living off meat you will need eg: deer meat venison 158 calories per 100 grams so you will need about 2 KG meet every day this is a very very big ask ! So for wild berries , seeds etc eg: blueberries 57 calories per 100g , so if you eat berries for a day you would have to eat 5 kg fruit / berries every day just to get 2850 calories . Any combination of meet & plants is going to be very very tough long term , So what i am driving at is living in a wilderness situation is almost impossible for all but the very very few , living through winter months would be almost impossible without some sort of food storage . I think living a nomadic life ,living off wild food might be ok for a few weeks but indefinitely is a whole different kettle of fish . Our ancestors hundreds of thousands of years ago had a very tough time and they were experts . So i think the very concept of I.N.C.H has many flaws ( mainly getting enough calories ),I am not trying to be to critical just realistic, but i did enjoy your video . Tks Rob in Scotland

+Rob Duncan i appreciate your very in depth comment! Thank you. But i disagree, humans have lived in a "wilderness enviorment for as long as we have lived. And continue to do so today. In a INCH situation i think food storage and procurement are priority #1, right next to water. Thanks again for the awesome comment, and please come back.

Thanks for reply , if you get 2000 calories every day ( on average )that is a lot of food , yet 2000 is not quite enough living outside . How about you try your INCH bag on a try out for a few weeks (no cheating ) see how you get on . Tks agn for the reply .

+Rob Duncan i wish i could man! Unfortunatly i have too many modern engagements to do so for longer then a weekend or so. But you have given me a good video idea, having said that. With my entire "INCH" set up, i would feel extremely comfortable living off grid for a long period of time.
