Vietnam was one of the most amazing places I have ever been. First time riding a motorcycle, other than in a class, was in Hanoi. It was absolute chaos. I did have an accident myself up near the border of china. Tire blew out in the mountains.

Ben, as a Vietnamese who lives in HCMC, I would highly recommend you guys to go all the way to the southwest of Vietnam (Mekong Delta) which is famous for having the most hospitality and friendly people in Vietnam

Actually, Pau FC is a club from France and the club is played in Ligue 2. The club has the best Vietnamese player name Nguyen Quang Hai and he is the only Vietnamese player play in abroad.

I love living in tropical places this during rainy season because you get to really experience local life and not just what people come for during dry season, like long trips and staying in a town for a few months at a time kind of thing, working or volunteering... So funny when people come through during rainy season and realize way too late how it is, guess you won't make that mistake again hahaha

The last coffee you had is cafe sua da, usually served over ice. I visited Saigon and Long Xuyen, which is near the Mekong River and Chau Doc, which is near the border with Cambodia. Safe travels and enjoy the rest of your trip!

ben one thing i can tell you its at lest warmer in the south vietnam then it is in the north for sure. i spent most of my time in the south vietnam back in 2000 for 2 times 4weeks each time.

Excellent stuff man- Vietnam looks sick. I'm on a round the world trip from Ireland to Japan- currently in Pakistan. Would love to shoot some content together in Myanmar in a few weeks if you'd be down!

The pipes btw I think those were opium-pipes in ancient days. Vietnam has a very sad story during the last century like the first, second and third Indochina War. On your trip you should visit e.g. the War Remnants Museum in Ho Chi Minh City. Incredibly gruesome things happened (like "Agnet Orange"), where people are still suffering from, because the ground is contaminated in many places. Especially in the middle and northern parts of Vietnam white foreigners especially from the US are sometimes met with mistrust. Apart from this, the streets are incredibly empty ! When I was there riding a motor-cycle there, it was so dense, that there were like 6-7 columns next to each other on the highway roads at with a distance of about 10m between the person in front and the person in behind at a speed of 70 km/h.

Rough start to the trip but I know you'll pull through mate!

You literally breathe in the dust through the many long hours on the dirt roads. Push through it, I promise, it's worth it!

10d is not enough to travel the whole country. I spent 90 days, 3 months in Vietnam travelled south to north, along the chinese border and then into laos. I even visited a few islands in the south Chinese sea that a part of Vietnam. You need more time than 10d for sure. I personally had the best time, Vietnam is one of my favourite countrys, you gotta take your time and embrace it mate 😁🍻👍🇻🇳

It's expected, not just in Vietnam but whole Southeast Asia & Pacific. It's currently raining season while in northern hemisphere it's winter. Always carry raincoat and sandal/flipflop wherever you go. Hope you enjoy the sensation of travelling to countryside with mopeds, guys
