This lens is a lens that I have NEEDED in my Camera Bag for years! The Viltrox 13mm F1.4 is (for me) the best third-party lens on the market to date. It's supreme at Night Photography, tack sharp for landscape photography and can be used as a vlog camera. I can not speak highly enough of this lens.

I have the Viltrox 23mm f1.4. for street photography. But watching your review here, the 13mm f1.4 interests me too. Anyways, my go to for landscape is the XF10-24 f4 mostly.

Viltrox 13mm f1.4 is the best lens I have ever owned.

I have the viltrox 13 and the Fuji 10-24. I still use them both. I still tend to use the 13 more for night sky and 10-24 for landscape because its focal range flexibility outweighs its weaker optical performance. The viltrox 13 is really fun and challenging to use at 1.4 and minimum focus distance. Great video and glad to see you are enjoying that lens as much as I do.

I look forward to the comparison between samyang and viltrox for astrophotography, I'm starting now with astro and I was going to buy the 12f2 but I await your night test :)

Looks a good bang for the buck Matt. I was disappointed to see Canon putting a halt to 3rd party development for their RF mount as I think there could be some good product development in the RF range which would make the RF cameras more appealing

I have the Viltrox 13mm too, it's a star performer. Still keeping the 10-24mm though. :-) Great shot in this video, really liked it. Cheers.

I’m strongly considering trading in my Rokinon 12mm manual focus for this Viltrox 13mm…I’d love to have the AF available to me and the build quality is top notch!

Only downside i see is the size/weight, on that front the Fuji 16mm is probably what I'll pick up first, but will definitely eventually get this i feel

@@robmcd viltrox seems to be 2cm longer and the same diameter, from past experience, every cm in length makes a big difference(no innuendo intended 😂)
