To be fair some said the were just ghost writing as opposed to providing an actual vocal. The MacBook one was horrible quality recording but he definitely did what he advertised and wrote a fire rap.

Plus, its not even overdelivering, as someone else already said, only the lyrics arent enough, its good to have a reference to be able to get the matching and intended flow from the ghostwriter. I just think it sucks to be this harsh on someone that just took 5 dollars for this job and delivered

Ngl you're less forgiving than I anticipated when I first clicked on your videos, but I'm really liking how blunt and honest you are about the quality of the music. More of that would really help prevent the saturation we see in music and people wasting their time on pursuing something that they simply aren't cut out for. It somewhat feels like justice that you actually give people a chance who think they have business being on a beat as well crafted as yours.

Also a small tip for finding good 808 notes, find out what chords are in your beat and pick some root/5th notes for bass, with some optional walks through the notes of the key your song is in

3:07 We heard the 808 an octave so we heard that the G# is out of tune. It’s the correct notes, just the intonation is flat. Even when it goes down the octave, you can still hear that it’s a little off(flat).

@@BodieMoto the first one was decent, dude had bars, but it sounded kinda thrown together last minute and kicked out the door as far as the actual recording goes. A little amount of time would have went far on that first one for 185. (Maybe I expect too much for the price.) The second one, the mixing, flow, dudes singing, etc definitely was not up to par especially for the 300 dollar price. Not to mention the bars and flow was more generic than a home rolled cigg. The $422 one, imo, was mint. Got into a wreck, and threw in an extra verse. Dude was in a tough spot, and still threw a cherry on top to sweeten the deal for the inconvenience. Dude delieved a solid product and good customer service. I hadn't heard the last few until I wrote this comment. The rest of them were good for what they paid. But they couldn't be called a finished product imo.

If you ever put out a series where someone writes their first song over one of your beats, I'm in. I write verses all the time but have never written a full song before. I can send various verses I have written to you so you get a scope of how I'd rap over the beats. I usually just have a theme and go from there.

I can’t believe some of these people sound so flat. Intonation is so off. And they make people pay for it. The last guy would have been alright if he had proper equipment. The $422 pro had the best flow, and right mix on top. He had good texture on his voice in the verse. Could have been more smooth, but his verse was the best. The hook is the hardest to find. Nobody nailed it.
