Upgrading or repairing your PC is always best done yourself, but if you are unsure of what to do then taking your computer to a local PC shop may be a better idea. Or you could find a random self-proclaimed professional online and ask them to take a look?
Second Channel if you want to: / @classicgaminginhd5432
Well for a laugh, that's exactly what I did.
Thanks for watching :)

Jeff would have 0 chance to win anything from this guy, because this video is no cyber bullying or anything, its just a review of poor and overpriced service provided by Jeff. Reviews are not suable and Jeff would just make it all worse for him. + The problem of exposing someone on YT isnt the court of law, but the YT itself, because the other guy can strike your channel and get your income, due to wrong YT policies. For example thats why a lot of tech channels got in trouble for exposing The Verge and their PC building guide. BUT if you fight back there is nothing they can do to you, they will have to apologize, pay the expenses and live with the shame.

It's risky from the other side. You are one of those who think how to avoid them, then there are those who will start to do internet bullying and it can come down to some serious issues if a wrong person watches this and reads who he is...not to avoid, but to start writing and scolding what a "fucker" he is etc., and sometimes it can be too much for not enough good reasons...because this is Internet. The point of this video is not to avoid specific person, but to avoid low rated "technicians", since...well...he's low rated for obvious reasons. When you think about it, I see no reason to have his specific name in order to avoid, just avoid the low ratings in the beginning, because it seems you are constantly trying to go to a low rated technician? or you are one of those previously mentioned people who will start the cyber bullying with constant messaging and death threats?

Brick and mortar stores can be just as bad or worse. This happened a long time ago (2005-ish), but a friend brought his PC to a store to get it fixed because one specific game would not launch. Their solution? Just wipe the entire hard drive and re-install the OS without asking. The game did launch after that, I'll give them that.

Lead tech at a small independent PC repair store here. Standard procedure for this scenario if you'd brought your machine to me, I would have hooked it up and verified what it did or didn't display with the existing card before you even left, and then would have offered to run a stress test on the system as-is to try and replicate any problems you've had. Then I would have offered upgrade options if you were interested. IF you opted for a replacement card anyway, I *always* offer the old parts back to every customer at time of pickup.

@Nobby Heads Do I even need to explain how bad of an idea that is? First off if we burn his house he'll than be added to our homeless problem and thus add more cost for our government/tax payers as a whole. Also there is the fact that burning his house would be extremely illegal and get everyone looking for who did it. Which would force you to go undercover for awhile unless you like jail time. Oh and there's the added fact that if you did that than he would gain ground in court to sue you.

Anyways it doesn't matter if he is Mexican or nor. All that matters is he or she or it yeah don't ask is a living sentient being. Now I would say if you are a person of faith and that you are suggesting murder you might want to reconsider your faith. But no the real reason for not wanting to burn them along with their house to the ground other than again running from law enforcement is. Well now you just made a fire hazard that could destroy property or even have the chance to kill innocent bystanders that weren't even involved in the matter at hand. Also we now just created extra work for the local fire department and now they have to spend time dealing with a man made problem rather than addressing real fire case else where. To further go on you believe that making an example of one person will stop others from doing the same. Ha don't make me laugh. Making examples of people has never stopped people as a whole from doing anything. If that were the case than why do we still have crime going on? Sides long story short taking up arms and going out to do physical harm is actually more work and comes with to many risk. No it's better to just settle things in court. Even if a big company can just quell your case quite easily. They still can't handle tens of thousands of court cases brought to them. As all of the fees and the legal work that would be needed to fend off that many cases would dig any companies or scammers economic grave. You just need to motivate people. P.S. I will also admit how restrictive the laws are at the moment are a bit restrictive but everything in levistration can be changed given time.

He said $1300.00 USD he would have the top of the line pc. Close to 9 months later and SEVERAL excuses he finally produced his PC. mother board was not the same, ddr3 ram set (was promised DDR4) 10 year old graphics card and an I5 processor (was promised I7). All obsolete junk he had laying around he shoved in there. My poor son was so devastated so I spent another $1350.00 last week and KZfaqd my way through the build and Windows install and hes got the sweet machine hes waited over a year for. This doesn't just happen at small home businesses. I had a co-worker tell me they took their dropped (Broken screen) high end laptop to Best Buy. A Geek Squad individual said they tested it and it was junk. But offered to "responsibly dispose" of the laptop. My co-worker decided to keep it instead, but did buy a brand new laptop. I said I wouldn't mind to scavenge parts from it and offered them $50 for it. When I got it home the first thing I did was plug in an external monitor and it booted right up. I told my co-worker and offered to return it to them. They said "no" because they already had their new laptop. So, I purchased a new screen and installed it for around $60. It's been a great laptop every since. My daughter actually ended up using it for college. Btw, there is no way I would go through that much expense and effort and still let this guy get away with sticking you with that crappy card AND keeping your old GTX480. I had some experience with PCs, but not enough to do a repair or replacement of the drive, as it had gotten distorted from the disc. I sent it to a local repair shop, and didn't get a response until 2 months later that it was done! When i fired it back up to play a new game, i noticed that the disc drive made an incredible amount of noise, so i called the repair shop to ask what they did to fix it, and i gotta give them probs, because they did not shy away from the fact that they didn't care at all when it came to fixing stuff! He actually told me that the only thing he did was open the CD tray, shake as many bits of broken disc out as he could, manhandled the thing back to look like before, make sure it at least ran, and when it worked fine, but sounded like a cement mixer, he just ignored it and called it mission complete! It later turned out that he was a scammer to the highest degree, and he ended up closing his shop and disappearing from the face of the earth, with multiple charges of fraud, false advertisement and other fun activities hanging over his head...

This can be especially useful as a selling point for smaller shops because they simply can't match the aggressive pricing of big chain retailers as they don't have the volume to negotiate preferential pricing from suppliers so they distinguish themselves with their range of services and promises of a better shopping experience (Having staff that actually have a clue that goes beyond reciting a few talking points you can just as easily find printed on the box to provide bespoke advice etc).

Charging someone $130 USD to pop in a card and over-charging for a crap card is crap enough, but to in turn take someone's property and sell it for profit is just low, really low. I mean a card swap takes 10 minutes, if that.

I got a gaming pc on my birthday this year. we found out it was only capable with ethernet and we didn’t have a 25 metre cable to go from the lounge room to my bedroom. so we asked this guy, he had a very small business and was not known that much. we ended up getting more than a wifi adapter, when we got it back, it wasn’t only capable with wifi now. it had a new 1TB SSD and a 3TB HDD. And he replaced my GTX 1660 SUPER with an RTX 3070 Ti. and he only charged us $60. i’ll definitely go to him if i need new parts again.

Took my PC to an established repair shop with the highest rating in town. They fried my harddrive, broke my fan and graphics card and the person I did business with originally got fired after literally stealing my monitor that I was supposed to be selling to them for Store credit to cover all the repairs as they held the system hostage until I paid for the repairs. Needless to say I found out all their high ratings came from friends and family members who inflated the score and the entire place is one big scam. I lost a grand total of $300+$400 for the monitor I told my story to EVGA and they actually sent me a 1070 ti back to replace my old 980 ti that I sent them after this shop broke it.

I was once fired from a job in an independent computer repair shop because i refused to lie to customers about what work needed to be done on their machines. Some of the guys business practices were sketchy as all hell... which was a shame, because I liked the job in general, and i was damned good at it... but trying to get me to scam customers... nope, I ain't doing that. I also refuse to go to *PC World* because they scammed my elderly grandfather out of hundreds of pounds mere weeks before he died. He was having sound issues with his machine so he took it to them and they told him he needed a CD drive (What???) so he paid out for a new drive and they told him they needed to keep the machine in over night (Again... what??) so they charged him extra for that as well as working on it... After her took it home and it still wasn't working (I wonder why)... he took it back to them and they told him he needed a new sound card... so they sold him a damned expensive one, once again, kept it in the workshop overnight, again charged him extra for this... he got it home, still didn't work... so he took it back again, they took out the cd drive and sound card they'd sold him, put the old ones back in (no refund on either item i might add), kept it overnight... again... and gave it back saying they didn't know what was wrong. After my grandfather died, I was at his house for the funeral and stayed a few days , just to visit. My uncle, who cared for my grandfather during his final days asked me to look at it. I fixed it in a matter of seconds. I don't remember exactly what was wrong wit it, this was like 15 years ago maybe... but needless to say both he and I were furious. PC World are meant to be this reputab;e company and they took a frail old man for a damned ride...

Not exactly. Hardware's developed to a point where no one who knows nothing about computers can build one. Just buy the parts and watch someone on YT who knows what they are doing. That wasn't really a thing 10 years ago as YT was still in its infancy.

I own a PC repair company, and I charged $40 to secure two GPU's that were in SLI that slipped out and were causing blue screens and reboots. I didn't think I charged to much. The use of a private Facebook account was definitely a warning signal, I suspect it was done to try and keep his business activities under the radar. It hould also be remembered in the UK that service contracts carry the implied term that the service will be carried out using "reasonable care and skill." Failure to do so is a breach of contract.
