This is such an outstanding piece of artwork, Lioba! I had always imagined the Klimpt 'walls' through which she floated to be like privacy screens of a sort, to keep her alive for as long as possible. I imagined them as tapestries she had woven.

The lady of shalott has always been one of my favorite classic paintings so this was fascinating to see your interpretation. I have been watching your videos wondering if I finally have the courage to work with color. I always thought my skills would be only in black and white as my medium has always been charcoal. I have wanted to try painting in multimedia color but was terrified because being someone who can only work from reference I thought it made me less than other artists who can sketch from their imagination. Seeing you using a mix of models and AI and collage work has made me realize I should never have let myself wait this long to try something that I might truly enjoy even if I am never at a level like you. I bought myself some watercolors to add to my other mixed media. Now I may just need to go get some of your tutorials. :D

I absolutely LOVE this painting except the drips and smudges which I wish were not there

I am curious but have you ever worked with Acrylic Gouache? I've found that they take more time to dry than regular acrylics and certain colors are more opaque (like lemon yellow for example). Mike from Jerry's Artarama has a good video about what makes an Acrylic Gouache different from Acrylics and Gouache.
