I’ll just be lying and saying that I’ve changed but I haven’t” Honestly, she’s awesome Edit: whilst typing that stuff up there there was a trailer for a movie called “the great” based in Russia about some emperor and empress and the emperor treated his wife like a maid who should be silent and stuff and was super misogynistic and such and it really pissed me off and then it mentioned how if the emperor died then the empire would go to empress, and he was lowery talking about killing her and then he said “I wouldn’t kill you, you’re a good person” and she looked him in the eye with a smile and said “I could Jill you, you’re a bad person” and then he laughed and then I’m pretty sure if I watched that movie then I’m pretty sure she kills him to save the empire and herself and honestly I’m living for it 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 completely off topic I know, and for anyone who reads this entire thing 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 I also applaud you 😁😁

i think its kinda cool how on the light side the expression looks more empty, like when you have a really bad depressive episode and you cant feel anything but you cry anyways (like after a loved one dies or something). and on the dark side there seems to be more emotion with the tears and the expression like something that happened effected you a lot but you arent completely giving up yet. i liked that it was like that instead of vice versa, it gives a nice contrast to the light and dark theme i think

It turned out really so beautiful! For me, the symbol of this painting would be how society tears us apart into a brighter and a darker side while the world dries up of goodness and beauty... And we find ourselves to be helpless while life and light slowly diffuses out of our souls... Does that make sense? Never mind 😅

I don’t think that is what people would classically refer to as abstract painting. It is a blend of surrealism, fauvism (kind of the most like this art movement) and post-impressionism. Definitely a modern art inspired piece but not abstract.

I am here for the whole process, I want to improve my painting so seeing all the prep work that goes into it is really helpful!!
