@@pleromicpastry5445 Like the other commenter said, Boss Ross used liquid white, which is VERY thin and just makes the canvas wet. You don't pick up much of the white color when you paint directly on top of it while it's still wet. Anja used a fairly thick layer of titanium white, so any color she puts over it while wet will mix with that white and she'll be constantly struggling to get a true, deep color because she's blending with white with every stroke. She'd have better luck applying one or the other of linseed oil or liquid white. It's not like she did it "wrong" exactly, but she made things reeeally difficult for herself.
