Hello, cozy gamers! Fae Farm released yesterday and for those of you who aren't sure about whether the content is worth the price - I played 50 days to show you what you can expect from the game!
I was lucky enough to receive an early code from Phoenix Labs and Keymailer! But, this does mean this video is now an Ad per CPA's new influencer guidance. But this was not a paid partnership and all views are our own.
About the game: Escape to the magical life of your dreams in Fae Farm, a farm sim RPG for 1-4 players. Craft, cultivate, and decorate to grow your homestead, and use spells to explore the enchanted island of Azoria!

I have been playing this so much since it came out! I just started the third mine and took until year 2 spring to get it open. Loving it so much.

fishing is actually quite easy, and I actually enjoy it (I'm actually better at fishing than I am at critter catching). what I usually do is hold down the reel button when the fish face me and just spam the reel button when they are moving away. This basically slows them down when they are moving away so they don't go too far, and encourage the fish to turn back to me so I can reel them in faster. if the fishing line turns red when I am spamming the button, simply slow down a bit to prevent it from snapping. with a bit of patience (and upgraded rod/ high enough fishing level) any fish is catch-able :D

Yes!! That’s what I do too. Just constant spamming but I don’t really enjoy it. I like bug catching a lot in comparison because it’s quite simple

With the fishing its best just to hold the a button and only let off when it turns red lol. Trying to avoid the red altogether just makes it take too long

@Cozygamingclub haha yes, gotta let off quickly to not break the line but it does the job. Had only one day to catch 12 fish for the fishing festival, I wasn't checking my mailbox, but I managed to do it... then Ed wanted steamed fish and I had one in-game hour left.... just missed it, then fall came. *sigh* next year is gonna be my time to shine by golly

I'm at the end of YEAR TWO and haven't opened the second mine yet! That damn clock is driving me crazy. I hate how short the days are and being sent to bed against my will. I want real-world days like ACNH, especially in a game like this where there's just so much to do, and it's supposed to be cozy (ie: relaxing!) The clock stresses me out so much that even though I love the game, I'm about to run back to my Animal Crossing island instead. :(

Saw another video and you can change the fishing setting to make it easier!

The simple fishing setting is just an accessibility feature! It removes the need to hold down the button so you can click it on and off again. I tried it anyway just in case and I actually found it harder 😅

I think you said there are 8 chapters in the game. Does that mean the game is more limited or shorter than stardew valley?

There are 8 chapters in the game then you can continue playing just without the main plot - so it’ll be kinda like Stardew then

Is this on steam or nintendo switch? I'm really unsure which platform to buy it on

It’s on both! Steam has two versions standard (which is a bit cheaper) and then deluxe. Switch only has the deluxe version. The deluxe version will include the two DLCs that are going to come out over the next year or so. I’ve not played on Switch so I can’t comment on it really, although I have seen posts on Twitter saying it doesn’t looks as good on Switch.

If you’re in the Fae Realm just go to the north east and you’ll find it!

Maybe im different but i really couldnt care about any seasonal events in any of my life sims, im more about the seasonal deco. I suppose im in the minority? 🤔. The seasonal decorations you get in this game remind me EXACTLY of the seasonal shop thats in hokko life, i mean im just going to call it cuz thats basically what it is, its a seasonal shop stand lol, where you can get holiday decorations. & it wouod have been better if they described it as a seasonal shop instead lol but oh well.. Btw im not even sure Hokko life has any sort of events either. I do however like Calender events, i mean it makes the day to day kind of different, that'd be nice if they had that, but i see why they maybe couldnt fit that kind of thing in maybe because of how fast the time goes by..

Yes! I saw that but I think it’s just an accessibility feature. From the description is just removes the need to hold the button down so your just clicking 2x as often. I didn’t find it any easier to use 😅

yes once you get your first wings the wisp fairy will open a shope and will sell you different wing types

In my opinion the game is too expensive 🫰 I will not buy it! They put it out as a lively game but all the NPC's are static like in other games, so nothing new, sorry. Play paradise Island, you get more for your money!

Imo the game isn’t expensive, every game like faefarm cost the same price and aren’t even as good! Like, I love animal crossing but compared to faefarm you can’t do much…. + faefarm design is so cute and pretty, I’ve never seen anything like this before. And I don’t think I’ve ever seen any sim/farm kind of game who has fae and magic in it, so, it’s just perfect for me.

@mye123 I didn’t get married but you can get married! As I said at the end, I kind of neglected other aspects like relationships, in favour of exploring the story more.
