No, it means that he wasn't playing Blackjack. It means that he was probably playing Free Bet Blackjack. In Free Bet Blackjack,, you can double down or split for free. Instead of having to put in more money. Another game that the dealer pushes on 22 is called Blackjack Switch. In this game you are playing two different hands and if you want, you can switch with hands go with each other. So if one hand was A-3 and the other hand was K-8. You could switch them to A-K and 8-3. He wasn't playing this though, because he was only playing one hand. Also, pretty much every blackjack table on the strip is 6/5.

You will most likely not be able to find 3:2 on the strip unless you play high limit. Sometimes you’ll find 3:2 in main area but it’s usually $100 min but that’s extremely rare.

Blackjack is the casino game with the lowest house edge. However, notoriously on the Strip they have found ways to subtly gain a bigger edge over the player. These small edges come in the forms of "22 push" or "6:5 payouts for Blackjacks" (for example when you hit the Blackjack at Cosmo and Aria you would have received $150 on a 3:2 table instead of $120 at a 6:5 table) or "dealer must hit on soft 17's." If you enjoy playing Blackjack and want greater odds of walking out the door with money then avoid these tables at all costs. Also, the casinos offer basic strategy charts in the gift shop and when followed to perfection you can often cut the house edge to a mere 0.5%. When card counting is implemented perfectly the player edge can be anywhere from 1-5% which terrifies casinos!! Hope this helps! Sincerely - a Blackjack card counter.

I’m headed to Vegas for the first time as a 20 something year old, I’ve read that they’ll use up to 8 decks, is there a way to effectively count cards in a situation like that?

@@PlasticGhoul no not really its to many cards for you to count and to many possibilities. If your going to play with 3+ decks in a table like that go to free bet games. Look at their rules and then play to increase your odds on side bets. I witnessed a player next to me win 2 grand on a side bet and he had bought in with $100 but again its all luck

I know this is for entertainment purposes but It doesn't matter how many casinos you visit if you don't vary your bet. The odds are that you will lose in the end or break even. Fun to watch none the less. For future videos, I want you to bet big when you're feeling it.

It’s a free bet table. And actually a great variation of the game, basically the casino pays for your doubles and splits on certain hands. They get the edge back by pushing 22.

Don't be afraid of table games. The reason that many people don't like blackjack is that other players will (ignorantly) complain that you "play wrong", "took the dealer's bust card", "ruined the order of the cards", etc.

Don’t be afraid. Anyone gives you a hard time tell them to shut their mouth and worry about their own cards. I count and have people on me for certain plays all the time. Funny thing is, people who actually know blackjack(counters) keep their mouths shut.

I did know plenty of “successful (winning) advantage players”, like yourself, who did not consider themselves gamblers. They always seemed to have trouble paying the rent. I had the pleasure of evicting several myself. 😂😂😂😂😂

I didn't think it would matter what games you played because I would be interested no matter what, however I want to note that I found myself more invested in the table games than the slot machines, which I found my mind wandering during those two videos. I was holding my breath during roulette and counting your BJ cards along with you! Phew.... I also realize that I like it when you tuck in helpful tidbits of info, like how many casinos are on the strip, that the El Cortez still uses coins, or that shot of the new "Trop-e-cana" pool. Blackjack when learned correctly is actually one of the more fair games you can play at a casino, Even though you can’t win 100% of the time with skill alone, it’s far easier to bet on blackjack than a slot machine.

That game was Free Bet Blackjack. You are able to split any pairs for free, except 10 value cards, and double down for free on any hard 9, 10, or 11. The house gets the edge back by pushing on a dealer 22.
