I absolutely love the Wii U, I'm working at collecting most if not all of the games for that system. I started by collecting the games I actually would play 1st

Wii U most underrated platform to have ever exist.

The Wii U was so underrated. It's basically a smaller 360. I had more fond memories playing the Wii U than the Switch.

half a generation? its just one year older than ps4😅 not to mention that the wii u should have been the answer to ps4 and the technique is trash. still love the wiiu

@@Snaaake_Beater Well tech wise it is not the mention its cpu literally weaker piece of junk than ps360 processor (its pretty much highly modified g3 (if im remember right) series powerpc processor (yeah im talking about ones used for gamecube and wii lmao) nintendo probably get so cheapskate they pretty much used modified old ass 32bit powerpc junk hence why wii u able to natively run wii and gamecube games) its ram literally 2gb ddr3... (Not the mention 1gb completly used for os,background apps etc not even mentioning that ddr3 already garbage in 2011/2012 i remember people used 32/64 gb of ddr3 because how dogshit slow and antique is) its gpu was pratically entry level laptop gpu at the best so yeah sorry to break you but it was indeed behind and shouldnt claim itself being 8th gen look im not saying ps4/xbox one is better those are junk to i mean they literally use low budget office pc processor from 2004 (its pretty much 2 of those quad core jaguars meshed in same SoC im pretty sure theres even officiall confirmation on those years) their gpus was barely midrange gpu which quickly got beaten by low spec ones, well their ps4 memory wasnt bad until realise how much OS takes up so yeah no wonder switch able to keep it up lol. Honestly wouldnt be suprise its cpu got beaten by 32bit arm processors from that time not the mention we already had armv8 (64bit arm cpu usually has 8 cores aand able to run somewhere 2/2.5ghz) and lpddr4 and lpddr4x sorry but wii u already beaten by phone hardware even in its launch year its kinda pathetic really also we already had more powerfull gpus in phones at the time so theres that. And switch hardware literally based on 2011 tegra k1 series (pretty much modified and reshelled nvidia shield hardware) so yeah wii u was pretty much waste of money (especially its price tag 💀) only good thing about it that its gamepad and pro controller (and of course first party games but i dont think we have to mention it)

Lol and they were actually temporary. It's kinda unfair how Switch users have to pay for online, while Wii U users race for free. I know Switch has more content and is updated etc but still... Don't get me wrong, U users are lucky and it's best for them but I wish at least Mario Kart was free on the Switch. One free game isn't gonna do much to them in form of loss

I feel like the majority of people that I when up against were families. Maybe they’re still playing because they don’t own switch? Just a guess but it would make sense as the Wii U was more of a family centric console then any other console

@@AstralNic I hope it comes back someday. I really want to go back to Splatoon 1, play on maps that didn't show up in either Splatoon 2 or have yet to show up in Splatoon 3.

@Sparksterlot Last time i checked, only private matches are possible on Pretendo when it comes to Splatoon. Not public matches, so no ranked matches at all.

The Wii U era really was special

I was able to talk with him recently and found out that he's being going for Max VR across every MK game (MK7, MK8, MK8DX). He started in 2020 and finally got it last month. It really is quite cool to see his dedication

I think it was done that they separated matchmaking between people with the DLC and without. I wasn’t able to get the DLC until 2016 and it was really annoying not being able to play with content creators or with friends because I didn’t own it. I’m glad they fixed that with 8DX.

Battle mode was like the only mode I played for the first 3 months I had the game, and I wasn’t even that big of a fan before Deluxe. I’m also glad they updated that disappointing battle mode and made one of if not the best one in the series

As long as you have the original it makes sense, but if you have to choose Switch is a way better option IMO
