@@TheCasinoKing yea, but you say this guy was a solid player. Why on earth would a solid player raise a hand like AA or AQ on the turn when he’s either way ahead or way behind? He wouldn’t want you to fold out your bluffs/insane merges etc, which I imagine you have quite a lot of here

Lol I’m not sure you understand how range advantage works mate. He has a massive range advantage over you on 2 2 3, he has all the overpairs you don’t have, you almost never have 2x, you could even argue A2s would be more frequently held by the 3 Bettor, also downbet doesn’t mean weak, you’re gonna burn money long term raising weak hands on flop in every 3 bet pot just bc someone is down betting their entire range

@@TheCasinoKing He is far from fundamentally sound. A lot of players won’t even have a 5 bet range in this configuration and even those who do will almost certainly not put 1010 in there. You could maybe make exceptions if your opponent is a nutball but that was far from the case here. You’re almost turning your hand into a bluff here, you fold out the few bluffs he has and now get to play a 5 bet pot against a range of essentially entirely overpairs and AK.
