Shaytan has to be one of if not the worst horror game I've ever played on steam. Now I'm sure there are far worse out there, but with the constant same jumpscare every 20 or so seconds, the lack of any checkpoint or saves and the most brutal find and seek, it's definitely up there with the worst games on steam.Shaytan by definition is evil and the stuff I encountered here match that description perfectly.

@@norielgames4765 they mean that is affected Wiz 'psychologically' because he got so fed up and frustrated that he quit for a minute. In a funny way, a game that's so bad that it makes you rage quit is still psychological horror so that's what they mean by it living up to that part of the claim.

The 8 numbers puzzle kinda does make sense, its basically reading the number series out loud and it becomes, one 2, one 0, one 2 and one 3,, but the ten second timer lmao.

I don't know if you already knew, but this game is clearly made with the "horror engine" it is a free asset for unreal engine, the "developer" of this game clearly did a drag and drop and published it

The reaper guy with the hammer is literally stolen from another game called "Paragon". Character's name is Sevarog

Epic released the assets for free after they discontinued Paragon, so a lot of (especially asset flip) games use them now. The only licensing condition is that they use Unreal, which this game does. Of course, it still speaks volumes about the quality.

I try to figure out if she is supposed to be an enemy or some sort of helper. She seems to point towards where you have to go, but at the same time keeps appearing out of nowhere, playing that bonk sound on her ghost phone, so she clearly tries to be scary.

its a dumb puzzle but it does make a kind of sence. if you read the number out loud carefully like it sais you could interpret it as one 2 one 0 one 2 one 3 still very dumb that the clue is in the item description instead of on the paper itself

0:56 I needed warning for this. I was drinking a glass of juice and then this happened, and I almost spat juice all over my computer! I was NOT expecting to be hit this quickly. Haha! And I love how the human character throws up his hand and starts headbanging like he's all, "YEAH!!! RIGHT ON!!! HEADBANGING !!! YEAH!!" the second that goat man appears. It's like the world just turned into the most awesome metal show ever for him. And given that there's a goat man sitting in front of him, I'll bet that life has gotten pretty damn metal for this guy. A little over 56 seconds in, and I know that we have something special here.

believe the interaction system your seeing is the "horror engine" asset or the "first person action horror game template" asset. either way both were free on the unreal market place at some point. I fully expect quests and stuff later in these asset flips, due to the quest and dialogue editor which was free recently

The green light is following the tos/eula and paying $100. That's literally it. When valve discontinued the greenlight system it led to the boost of asset flips. $100 is all it takes to get your game on the market

@@BanditLeader Green light was a disaster though, because huge Chinese groups of account stealers were taking payments in Bitcoin to block or push games through on greenlight with vote bottling. The same trash still gets through, but at least the good indie devs can’t be blocked from uploading by malicious actors.

That one jumpscare while you were tearing the place apart for keys was certainly _jarring_ In fairness, the book that keycard is hidden under is visibly smaller than the others in the row and has substantially whiter pages. Seems like it might even catch more light while illuminated?

math dork here. the 8-digit to 4-digit code puzzle seems inspired by both run-length encoding and the look-and-say number sequence. I've occasionally seen the same idea used in video game puzzles before. It might be worth skimming the wikipedia pages to get the basic idea so you can destroy similar puzzles you'll probably encounter in future games.
