I'm not saying he isn't great. But he wouldn't be able to shoot all those crazy 3's. In the 90s, it would be harder for him to drive to the Lane. Because guards and bigs would be able to punish him down low. He would not have the extra step that every NBA player in the modern era has. It would be a really hard adjustment for him. He would still be great. The rules are just way different for back in the day

@@user-nc5ii5fi8t the problem with LeBron is his overacting with the flops. People equate that to lack of mental strength, and people think he'd break mentally and give up. Similar to what the Broncos did the Cam; dude is as physically impressive a specimen as there was, and they broke him mentally that he wouldn't fall on the ball; he pretty much said what's the point?
@MrDavidKord3 ай бұрын
Mugsy revolutionized handles like Curry revolutionized the 3 point shot. I'm a huge 90s stan, but acting like the best shooter ever will not flourish because he was slightly below average in height is absolute madness.
@liamm62084 ай бұрын
He would've averaged 40 in his best scoring seasons in that era because the League was handicapped by the Illegal Defense and no Zone Defense rules which would've made it so much easier for him to score in 1 on 1 iso because teams weren't allowed to send help on the weak side of the floor and double the best player on the opposing team as soon as they drive to the rim or catch the ball in the mid range and if anyone allows any great player like Steph to blow by them and drive into the paint with no help then they will get scored on every single time 💯
@yuletak4 ай бұрын
Curry's not an iso player tho. He's not quite strong/fast enough for it. If the coach at the time runs the offense thru Curry similarly to what GS has now, then yeah, he could probably get a shot off at any time. Lots of things to consider. Fun exercise!

It's not just the physicality. In 90's, you could not just flat out carry the ball or do some 012 crap or ask teammate to set a moving screen or double dribble like today. That's where it'd be tough for today's players to play in the 90s. Video games don't simulate that.
