kgs2127 I don’t have any experience with smoking, but it seems like the kind of thing counselling and a support network would be good for. Have you talked with your GP about this?
@Rogen4ever
@Rogen4ever 5 жыл бұрын
@@kgs2127 I smoked for around 7ish years. I used a champix (a pill, champix is the canadian branding of this pill. If you're in America, the name is similar I believe) to quit. They say to take 2 pills per day (1 morn, 1 night) but I only took it on the morning. If I took it at night I couldn't sleep (tossed and turned all night). However, it took me around 8 attempts of stopping and starting to stay quit. I usually quit for a month or more then did the stupid mistake of having 1 smoke because of the temptation of the addiction or to releave some stress (which caused the cravings to come back). The last attempt was the easiest because I was fed up of failing of getting rid of the addiction. The first 6 months are the hardest, but once you're quit for that long its all downhill if you want to stay quit. I do have very light cravings but the thought of starting again (along of the self disappointment/guilt I would have if i did start again) overrules the feeling of that craving. Also, something else that helped me. Something that motivated me to want to quit more so. Personally, it was hope that once I quit I would find an amazing girl that I would call my wife one day. Hasn't happened yet but the hope is still there and it helped to quit and to stay quit for good. My thoughts and prayers to you on your battle of quitting!

Addiction. Denial. Dishonesty, mostly with themselves. People don't like to have the problems from which they turn their hearts and minds brought to the surface. Fear also, plus resistance to change. I reckon it all boils down to ego and resistance to self analysis. Deep down it hurts them to hear about something know deep down enslaves them. It's very uncomfortable, so dislike. The struggle is real, we all have different weaknesses and challenges. Self analyze and strive to be the best you can, which means improvement, which means change, which is sometimes initially extremely uncomfortable. It's worth it though. Get better every day.

I don't know why someone would hate you for that. That's something to be proud of, really. Alcohol feels good sometimes, but it brings nothing positive to your life at all. It hinders your potential, the same way drugs do, except alcohol is legal and socially acceptable.

Brother you give me so much encouragement. Grew up without God without a father, felt alone unloved. I found alcohol and drugs at age 14 and I become deep in it. Am now 33 with a young family, 3 kids, 8 , 6 and a 2 year old. But the struggle is real, I gave up booze when I was 27 gave up weed last year and am still taking prescription drugs and this is my biggest struggle. But I came to Christ 4 years ago and I found new strength and I totally understand what you mean with all the self professed Christians and their persecution it really brought me down, but God was always there to lift me back up and give me new strength in my weakness and it's been hard but am getting there for myself and my family. I just want to thank God for you. Pray for me as I pray for you brother. Iron sharpens iron . We all Go through the same things, I will live a clean and pure life for my own sake. God bless you brother.

Bread& Butter not just from the money I spent on alcohol, the type of people that where willing to pay me and the amount they where willing, to do work for them is amazing. I've given up alcohol for over 10 years now, purely for health reasons and recently I watched a program called Go sober for October which confirmed my decision. Two groups of regular drinkers. had blood tests before during and after. Cancer markers in the sober groups blood vanished when they stopped and returned when they began. it was permanent in the full time drinking group.

Backwoodsmachinist haha youre funny. Its been thousands of years and the mighty name of Jesus still reigns supreme. Even so much so that it gets under peoples skin like yours because you rage against your Creator in your heart. Is the name of zues world renound and the fame of all the miraculous works he did has spread all over the world?Do we base our own calendar and system of keeping time from zues. Are peoples lives transformed by zues? Did zoos predict things thousands of years ago that come true in this age with startling accuracy?I think not. Every knee will bow and every tounge confess that Jesus is Lord!
